Designer launches new range of watches made from concrete

First published: 26-07-2012

Dzmitry Samal, the renowned watch designer, has developed a innovative new range of timepieces made from concrete.

Also made of housing Swiss movements, the new range of watches is comprised of eight different designs, each of them limited to a run of 100 and 150 pieces, according to Samal.

"Watchmaking as I see is more than just a time measuring mechanism. It is the main male jewellery and should reflect the personality and strength of its owner," Samal explained.

"My watches tell the story of an alliance of French creativity and Swiss technical performance, innovating in a field that has never been explored in watch-making before."

Unfortunately for the average consumer, the new range of watches will be priced between £776 and £966, meaning the designs might prove to be beyond the reach of most people.

In which case, then, you may wish to consider an alternative design available at WatchShop, such as the stylish Men's Armani Exchange Chronoragph Watch.
