Sports watch fans may be attracted to a new timepiece from TW Steel, which has been designed to honour Formula One legend David Coulthard.

The TW Steel David Coulthard Special Edition device comes in a choice of two designs, one with a 44mm diameter case and the other with a bulkier 48mm offering.

Some appealing design elements of this timepiece include a sandblasted steel case and a PVD dark-titanium coated bezel, which are again sandblasted.

A grey dial features a trio of sub-dials and a three-hand movement function, to easily read the time, while red markers help add some colour around the face.

Coulthard described the timepiece's appeal by saying: "I think the end result is certainly one that maintains TW Steel's bold appeal while it perfectly reflects my own appreciation for subtle yet distinctive styling."

The former McLaren racer's watch was launched in Monte Carlo, the elegant setting for the last grand prix, which was won by Red Bull star Sebastian Vettel.
