Colourful watches are ''great investment''

Sometimes, you don''t need to break the bank to complement an existing collection of watches or get the perfect accessory for an outfit when you want to treat yourself, a leading newspaper has said.

Simon Chilvers, a leading fashion columnist for the Guardian, argued that among the great things available on the market is the throwback Hip Hop watch, which is one of the biggest accessory trends of recent years.

He explained that they are available in a "riotous rainbow of colours" and are scented, with the rubber-strapped numbers introduced in 1985.

Mr Chilvers added: "Now they''re staging a comeback. Best of all, the watch face can be popped out and put into a different coloured strap - sure to provide hours of mixing, matching and clashing fun."

It adds to similarly-veined advice from Fabsugar, which argued that neon colours such as those on Hip Hop watches are great go with a number of outfits, while such hues are also popular for footwear and bags.
