Citizen watches to participate in awards ceremony

Citizen watches is among the companies taking part in an event in India later this month, which will award prizes to some of the world's finest watch manufacturers.

The Watch World 2011 awards show is held by the publication of the same title and will take place at Greater Noida in Jaypee Greens Golf Resort and Spa on September 24th 2011.

As well as naming the best watch creators, there will also be a display of some of finest works from the companies at the event.

In addition to Citizen, other companies which are hoping to take home an award on the night include GC, Swarovski, Seiko and Zenith.

"There has been an exponential increase in the brands and quality of nominations this year," said jury member Antoine Simonin.

A company which has recently been enjoying success is Rotary, which saw an 18 per cent rise in its profits during the first six months of the year.
