Citizen watches bidding to increase popularity

Citizen watches is on course to increase its share of the market in India as its popularity gathers pace across the country.

India is already a very successful market for the company, with its watches among the most popular bought in the mid-range price bracket.

But the group is seeking to expand even further, as it is planning to double its current business levels in the next five years.

At present, the company is seeing a 15 per cent rate of growth every year as more and more people choose to purchase the timepieces.

The company is also looking to expand its brand across the nation by releasing more new designs, with the Prestige Chronograph the latest design to hit the shelves across the country. 

Citizen has grown to become one of the biggest international watch brands since it first began producing timepieces in Japan in 1918, with the innovative Eco-Drive timepiece helping to establish its place as a leading producer of innovative new technology.
