Citizen partners with Katherine Jenkins

Watch maker Citizen has announced a new partnership with classical singer Katherine Jenkins.

The brand believes that the 33-year-old will help to increase the popularity of its women's watches in the UK, Jewellery Focus reports.

Sunrise watches from Citizen's Eco-Drive-based ladies' L collection will be the focus of Katherine's efforts when they are released this autumn.

Morning dew was supposedly the inspiration behind the diamond-set pieces, which also feature mother of pearl dials.

They will also include colour graduations, off-centre dials and a flower bud crown set at the four o’clock position.

Citizen's own Eco-Drive technology will power the devices, which will be priced at between £519 and £599.

Mark Robinson, managing director of Citizen Watch UK, said: "We are thrilled to appoint Katherine Jenkins as our new UK brand ambassador.

"Her unrivalled musical achievements, sense of elegance and style make her the perfect fit for the Citizen brand."
