In the movie Dear John, main actor Channing Tatum can be seen wearing a Suunto timepiece, those with a keen interest in digital watches may be interested to note.

The US icon, who shot to fame in such films as Step Up and Public Enemies, sports a Suunto X10 Military ticker throughout the 2010 romantic drama.

Consumers can purchase the timepiece in either a positive design, which comes with dark text and a light background, or a negative style, highlighted by light text on a dark dial.

Tatum can be seen wearing the negative version within Dear John, which has been titled Military to sport its dark style.

Some of the attractive features of this Suunto watch include an altimeter, compass and barometer all featuring on the dial's design, as well as GPS functions to further enhance the practicality of the timepiece.

Tatum stars in the war drama movie alongside Amanda Seyfried, which follows the story of a soldier who falls in love but is then deployed to war.
