Chanel targets men's sports market with new watch

Men who like to wear watches but are looking for something different may be interested in a new timepiece by Chanel.

That is because the elegant French company, which has been making watches since it released the Chanel J12 in 2000, has released a sports watch aimed at the male market, a move uncommon for them, The Watch Observer has reported.

However, despite treading into unfamiliar waters, it seems like the Chanel J12 Marine is a great attempt by the company, with an impressive 67.5 out of 100 score being awarded to it by the website.

Its author noted: "It is a luxury object, superb and sober, for the only pleasure to wear a Chanel watch."

There are plenty of features to appeal to wristwatch fans too, starting with the timepiece's face, which combines a marine blue-coloured dial with eye-catching steel markers to instantly stand out.

Furthermore, the hands contrast with different tones to create a great visual effect, whereby a solid steel hour indicator flows through to a minute hand that combines both the steel and blue shades, with the seconds one being coated completely in the marine-like tint.
