Celebrities turn up to IWC Schaffhausen event

A host of celebrities turned out to see the launch of a new range of IWC Schaffhausen timepieces, those with an interest in fashion watches may be interested to hear.

The event at the Palexpo Hall in Geneva was hosted by the Swiss brand and promoted dual time watches from it, with many well-known names looking the part of elegance by donning timepieces.

Some of these celebrities included supermodel Elle Macpherson, sporting legends Zinedine Zidane and Boris Becker and actors Matthew Fox and Jean Reno.

Many of the names who turned up are also part of an advertising campaign from IWC Schaffhausen, which is shot by German fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh and takes place on the Italian destination of Portofino.

He commented: "When I sit by the harbour at Portofino, time seems to stand still. The scene is still the same as 50 years ago, when Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton strolled across the Piazzetta."

Recently IWC Schaffhausen revealed the Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days, which boasts a power reserve without assist of 192 hours – or eight days.
