Casio watches help racing drivers 'keep time'

First published: 28-04-2009

CRS team director Andrew Kirkaldy bought the drivers a Casio watch each after this weekend's races, which he attached to their steering wheels so that they knew when their sessions were coming to an end.

The team celebrated two fourth place finishes from Australian Josh Scott this weekend, taking the driver up to third spot in the championship overall.

Praise was also heaped on Harry Tincknell, who dropped a place in the second race of the weekend to finish third when he mistakenly thought the race had finished a lap early.

Kirkaldy said: "Timing issues aside, Harry is having an incredible start to his season.

"Out of four races he has led two, had fastest lap, pole position and two podiums. It's actually a better start than Adam Christodoulou had in his rookie season."

Tinknell took pole position in the first race of the Formula Renault 2009 season earlier this month, finishing in second place.
