Casio and Nixon watches 'great tor women this season'

This month, it is all about watches for women wanting to maintain a level of cool when out to impress friends, with two brands in particular catching the eye of a dedicated blogger.

Writing for the Examiner in San Francisco, Charlene Haze Alcantara explained that many women are starting to overlook traditional timepieces, due to their replacements in the forms of mobile phones, laptops and other portable electronics.

She said: "However, watches have also progressed to meet with technological advances by including endless features such as appointment trackers, alarms, stopwatches, world times, etc."

Ms Alcantara asserted that the Tridigital Nixon watch is a particular delight, while no less than five G-Shock models from Casio watches are also wonders to behold, whether it is the Databank Watch or 9200 Riseman timepiece.

Women still wanting that more feminine approach will not be disappointed, however - one of the watches that was recommended was a classic blue Baby G watch.

This month, Casio's G-Shock brand announced that it would be pairing up with tattooist to the stars Mister Cartoon, who has created a new offering in the colours of his favourite baseball team, the LA Dodgers.
