Bremont P51 proves popular in pre-release

First published: 09-06-2011

A new timepiece from Bremont has already achieved impressive sales figures, despite the watch not hitting the market until this autumn.

Launching in September, the Bremont P51 ticker has already seen two-thirds of its 251 pieces allocated to keen consumers, sources close to the brand told Professional Jeweller.

There is plenty of appeal associated with the timepiece that could tempt a quick buy, including the fact that the special-edition device is dedicated to the P-51 Mustang – a US second world war fighter aircraft.

In fact, the watch is designed with metal that was salvaged from these planes and then fitted to its dial and movement.

Some other features of the Bremont P51 include an easy-to-read, three-hand face and a sleek date window peeping in at the four o'clock position.

The timepiece was recently shown off to consumers at this year's BaselWorld, an event that showcased the best of the watchmaking market at the end of March.
