Breitling Photo Contest winner announced

Fans of Breitling watches may be interested to hear of the winner of a competition that the brand set up on its Facebook page.

Kansas-based Jeremy P Hampton picked up first prize in the Breitling Photo Contest, besting over 5,000 other entries, Watch Time reported.

The image, entitled Future of flight meets the history of flight, was chosen following a vote on Facebook, as well as a judging panel that included the Breitling Jet Team aerobatics team leader Jacques Bothelin and Hollywood actor John Travolta.

By winning the competition, Mr Hampton will be treated to an all-expense paid training course in the build up to acquiring his pilot's licence.

Second prize was awarded to Tyler Rogoway of Oregon for a unique display of a plane landing, in a photo titled Falling Charcoal.

Recently, Breitling welcomed the re-launch of its Super Constellation aircraft with a limited-edition watch, which displays the inscription of the plane's logo on its dial, among other attractive features.
