Breguet making special edition of its Type XX

Watch maker Breguet is to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the French Aeronavale with a limited edition timepiece.

Based on the company's Type XX collection, which Breguet has been designing for the French Naval Aviation since the 1950s, this edition will have some features that will distinguish it from the rest in its range, Watch Time has reported.

This includes a rotating bezel that will be black-lacquered, instead of the silver design usually associated with Type XX watches, which comes complete with raised numerals to aid reading the time.

The size of the watch face also helps watch fans, too, measuring in at a sizeable 39 millimetre diameter.

Within this face is a stylish matte black dial, which is then decorated with luminous numerals and hands, making for a well designed timepiece for fans of watches or Breguet.

An elegant calfskin leather strap completes this special watch, of which only 1,000 pieces will be made available.
