Become James Bond with a Rolex Oyster watch

First published: 15-06-2011

People who have long dreamt of becoming 007, complete with high-tech gadgetry, flashy cars and even flashier women, have a chance to get one step closer to achieving that vision.

That is because James Bond has donned a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date reference 115200 timepiece in the new novel, Carte Blanche.

Brits who purchase that watch to match the jewellery sense of the well-loved spy agent will find a wealth of appeal in its design.

For example, the dial of the device instantly catches the eye, thanks to its sharp black style and easy-to-read time functions.

A 34mm diameter means that the watch is as sleek on the wrist as Bond is in his work, while a domed bezel and steel bracelet only helps the design.

Carte Blanche is written by Jeffery Deaver that offers a new adventure for 007, with Guardian reviewer Stephanie Merritt recently describing the novel as "a lovingly-crafted homage rather than deliberate pastiche".
