Beckhams to sell off their wardrobe in aid of charity

It's the car boot sale to end all car boot sales - the Beckhams have announced that they will be selling off a load of their clothes to raise money for charity.

Around 20 boxes of designer items are being auctioned off by the celebrity couple, who want to encourage people to donate to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

The unique sale is in aid of the British Red Cross Shop Drop and both Victoria and David have raided their wardrobes to help bring in as much cash as possible.

Posh apparently spent the weekend sorting out what she wanted to donate and has since urged others to do the same.

She said: "Everyone has something in their closet they were holding onto, a dress, suit, or pair of shoes they thought they might wear again, dig them out, bag them up, drop them off and give someone else the chance to buy them."

The couple's belongings are going under the hammer tomorrow (November 22nd) at the Red Cross shop in Kensington & Chelsea - which specialises in designer gear.

Among the many items up for grabs are 100 pairs of Vic's own shoes, a collection of David's baseball caps and a number of matching outfits the husband and wife have been photographed in when making their many public appearances together over the years.

Anyone on the lookout for designer labels can expect them in abundance and the store is opening for extended hours to make sure that it can really take advantage of the unique opportunity to make some serious cash. The Beckhams have already promised that items of clothing from Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli are just a few of the names on offer.

Of course, if you don't intend to get involved in the bidding frenzy but still want to get hold of some top quality fashion brands ahead of Christmas, visit Watch Shop to see the wide range of designer timepieces on offer.
