Movie legend Arnold Schwarzenegger has been pictured sporting a gigantic timepiece by the watch maker Panerai.

Schwarzenegger, who became iconic for his role in the original Terminator movie trilogy before becoming the governor of California in 2003, was spotted wearing the watch while on a private jet flight, Hodinkee has reported.

Although the website is not 100 per cent sure which model it is, they are fairy confident that it is in fact a PAM 341 model.

The main feature about this watch is that it measures in at a surprising 60 millimetres in diameter, although this size allows for the rest of the timepiece's features to be seen more easily.

This includes a brushed titanium case and bezel, sapphire crystal design implements and a simple time reading display, with only hour and minute hands.

Panerai seems to be making a habit of been associated to action heroes in the music scene, with Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham both donning a Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante model in promotional posters for their film The Expendables, which also featured Schwarzenegger in a cameo role, Hodinkee reported.
