Alpina details the Startimer Pilot Collection

First published: 25-02-2011

Alpina has taken a glimpse into the past to style one of its new ranges, vintage watch fans may be interested to hear.

The Startimer Pilot Collection is made up of four timepieces, which are each designed around the Alpina watches which were sported by pilots back in the 1920s and 1930s, Watch Time reported.

All the devices in the range have a bulky case diameter of 44mm, with "three variations offering time and date, including two with a manufacture movement, and a two-register chronograph", the news source commented.

Each of the timepieces in the Startimer Pilot Collection also comes with a rich, satin-finished stainless steel case and elegant matte-black dials, while a hint of red on the seconds hand adds some colour to the face.

Alpina, a Swiss manufacturer which has been providing luxury tickers to watch enthusiasts since 1883, finishes the range off with a choice of either a leather strap or metal bracelet.
