Adidas launches limited edition trefoil watch

First published: 11-06-2012

Back in 1972 Adidas introduced the three-leaved trefoil plant logo to its brand, and today the iconic symbol is as synonymous with the German sportswear brand as the Swoosh is with Nike or the Golden Arches are with McDonalds.

So, to celebrate its imminent birthday a new limited edition gold watch bearing the symbol has been released – with just 500 of the exclusive timepieces available.

Built by the watchmakers at Fossil, the Adidas Originals Trefoil Limited Edition Melbourne has a stunning 50mm gold-coloured case with a slick, rotating bezel.

The gold face is circled with chunky lettering in the traditional Adidas Originals front, with a hydraulically-stamped trefoil logo emblazoned in the centre.

With so few of the coveted Adidas watches set to be released, each will bear the number in the run of 500 down its left side.

The watches are expected to go on sale on June 16th at select Adidas retailers, priced at $395.
