Authorities in Pennsylvania have revealed this week that around 7,000 counterfeit Rolex watches have been crushed by a huge rolling machine at a contractor site in the state''s largest city.

Seized from prolific counterfeiter Binh Cam Tran, a 53-year-old based in Philadelphia, a huge amount of fake timepieces were run over by the roller about ten times on Monday (April 26th) at James Morrisey Inc in the city to make darn sure they weren''t going on wrists any time soon.

It follows Tran''s conviction for trafficking counterfeit goods into the US, as well as conspiracy and nine counts of money laundering, resulting in the criminal being sentenced to six years in federal prison in 2009.

It that wasn''t enough, he was also ordered to pay around £1.5 million in restitution to Rolex USA for his misgivings.

Lindsay Lohan was recently accused of stealing a Rolex watch by TMZ amid rumours that a timepiece left at her home was never returned to its owner.
