Great watch. Very unique. Perfect finish.
Beautiful champagne dial - prefer it to the white one
The curved crystal is great - what sells the watch!
The power reserve is a nice feature. The strap is fantastic.

Some of the best value for money watches out there

I love my watches and this zeppelin is right at the top of my favourites.this is my only cream dial, never really liked them before, but this has changed my mind .also love the power indicator.the only minus points are that I would have liked a slightly bigger date window, and perhaps a lighter brown strap, but this is nit picking.I would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful watch to everyone.

Ive been wearing the watch now for a few days and im very happy with it. It keeps time perfectly, the 24hr and the power reserve also have been very accurate. The only negative thing i have to say about the movement is the rotor is a little noisy in comparison with my other mechanical watches. The Case itself is quite unique in that it tapers out from the dial and then tapers in from the crown down to the case back where you can see the movement, its not the most decorated of movements ive seen but is nice to look at never the less. Zeppelin have done a great job of basically giving an affordable watch everything that a more high end watch has. Another nice touch is the 24hr sub dial, its white with a silver polished besel and a red hand which gives a nice contrast to the cream dial and a sporty/pilot look again a nice contrast to the over all classic look. The leather strap is the perfect color for this watch and is comfortable. Theres nice little details too, a zeppelin logo on the crown and a small silver dome at 6 on the dial. Even if your budget is double the price of this watch you would struggle to get a nicer watch.

The Zeppelin Hindenburg LZ 129 Automatic watch is a truly delightful timepiece.
It has an air of understated sophistication, which sits well on ones wrist in almost any situation and has drawn many a curious gaze.

The watch is presented in a standard display box, but with the extra addition of your very own numbered Fahrkart, a Zeppelin ticket stub from some long forgotten journey. A charming addition which only further adds to the air of the 1930s and early aeronautics which surrounds this watch.

The most striking feature for me was the size of the dial, or rather the lack of bevel surrounding it. Almost all of the front aspect of the watch is devoted to the beautiful cream/champagne dial and none is wasted on an unnecessarily chunky bevel like many other watches.

The watch is light and delicate yet has a feel of German precision which one would expect.
So far it has kept time well, and has only needed manual winding when it has sat unworn for a day or so.

I am only disappointed by the 2 year warranty which is on offer. For a watch of this apparent quality and price I would have expected nothing less than lifetime.

A small grip but all in all a fabulous addition to my growing collection.

The first thing that attracted me to this watch when i was browsing the Watchshop site was the name. It conjured up images in my mind of the Zeppelin airships of a bygone era and when i took a closer look at the watch i found it to have a totally unique look to it . A dial with a wonderful classic look about it, an almost instrumental look, perhaps an instrument dial of a classic aircraft, one such as the Zeppelin itself maybe. The black hour marker numerals on the beige dial, with the smaller incremental and minute makings on the outer perimeter of the dial give a precision look to the watch and the silver 24 hour sub dial adds to the look of clarity and taste. The power reserve dial to the top of the dial is informative and the whole dial looks balanced and easily read. The domed chrystal looks fantastic as it fits edge to edge on the watch and has the effect of drawing you into the dial. Im sure this watch is going to draw a lot of attention and comments when worn out.

This watch is no doubt a re-invention of classic wrist watches of the 1930s and 40s. A classic masterpiece of German craftsmanship and quality. Indeed these days it is hard to find a good quality mechanical watch since the arrival of battery-powered quartz watches. Although pricy, Zeppelin Hindenburg is the choice for those who value and appreciate originality and historical relationship.

The features are all attractive especially the power reserve indicator which is a unique feature. Powered by world-famous Japanese Citizen automatic movement, the make is a reliable blend of Japanese and German technology. There is a small white dial showing military time, however, I would prefer something else to it such as dual time or days of the week. They could have printed millitary time on the dial as well just like Swiss Army watches, but its a personal choice.

The dial colour gives a perfect impression of antiquity. If you dont like the colour, you may choose the one with bright white colour. The leather strap is a good match for the dial rather than a metal one. Its comfortable to wear despite its medium-sized dial edge to edge. The minute and hour hands are old-fashioned and stylish which render it to be worn formally as well. The stainless steel polished case is of high quality but I like titanium as long as durability is concerned.

Overall the watch is a very good choice for gift giving, formal and informal wearing and, above all, it makes you experience the value of classic craftsmanship, features and technology.
