I was looking for a good, everyday watch that could be worn during sporting activities and on holiday. I already have a Wenger and think this is a pretty good make. This new watch doesnt disappoint and I and very happy with it. It looks really sporty and is very striking but also looks smart too. Functions well and withstands days on the beach brilliantly. The strap is also very comfortable if a little thick, although this would only be an issue if wearing with a long-sleeved shirt. Pretty good value for this calibre of watch.

The product starts off well with a high quality metal tin, as you open it you see the product sat snuggly inside the case with a series of instruction books down the side.

The warm orange colour really sets off the black case and strap and is really not vulgure but rather beautiful. The case itself is not overly big or bulky but has a good weight to it. The strap although rubber feels of high quality and is nice and soft shall have to see how well this lasts. Nice large handles and a nice logo on the back. I find the glow in the dark to be quite good but Ive nothing to compare it to.

The only cons really are the slightly convex glass front that can distort the face at different angles and no screw in parts for water protection. Therefore I wouldnt recommend it much for using it as an outdoor beater watch, but one you could quite happily go for a cycle or camp with.

I really like this watch, it really suits me down to a tee. Whilst it provably wouldnt be used by commandos it is a lovely time piece.

Wenger is a world famous company synonymous with the manufacture of high quality knives. However they have now broadened their product range from clothing to mountaineering equipment and now also watches.
I was looking for a watch that was suited to outdoor activities but wouldnt look out of place razing it up or attending formal occasions. After much deliberation I purchased the Wenger Commando SRC watch.
The design of the watch allows for easy reading. It has a large 42mm face protected by mineral crystal glass which has a coating of sapphire crystal. The glass is slightly domed but this does not impeed the watch in any way. The watches chronograph dials are counter sunk into the watch face, again demonstrating the quality and attention to detail in its manufacture. I found the chronograph function easy to use, and with the large dials easy to read. To operate the chronograph feature requires some pressure on the buttons, some sought of resistance feature, so buttons are less likely to be pressed by accident.
The watch case is PVD coated. This adds an extra layer of protection, being extremely resilient to bumps and scrapes, keeping the case like new for longer.
The Commando SRC uses orange to highlight its minute markers this was one of the elements that attracted me to the watch. The use of these colours makes the watch original and striking in appearance. I have had many people enquire/compliment the watch as a result of this unique feature. However when used in dark conditions the markers do not glow orange but the standard green. This does not affect the usability of the watch as it still clear and easily read in dark conditions.
My only concern was the rubber watch strap as I have found in the past these can cause irritation. To my surprise I suffered no problems, even when using the watch on a training exercise. I have now changed the watch strap to a canvas one as this allows sweat to evaporate more efficiently and in my experience are more secure.
I have used this watch in the field, running through mud, diving in to gravel, crawling through scrub and trees. It has been exposed to salt and fresh water, worn to the pub and one formal dinner. Last week it accompanied me on a camping trip to the lake district mountain biking, climbing and boating. It never once let me down nor was it cumbersome when moving, removing ruck sacks or changing clothes.
Wenger have really achieved something with this watch. It is well constructed, comfy to wear fitting nicely on the wrist. It works as well outdoors in the muck and water as does in the office or more formal occasions. I would recommend this watch, it has not been off my wrist since it was purchased.

This watch looks amazing. I bought it as a Christmas present for my boyfiend after he's seen it in a magazine. I worried that it wouldnt meet his expectations but it exceed them. The orange watch face is vibrant and clear, the quality of the watch is outstanding, definitly worth the money.
