Bought this for my husbands birthday. It is a lovely watch, looks fantastic. Not too big a face which was important and a clear dial

I have slim wrists so the chronograph style watches dwarf me, so I wanted something smaller and more classical. Im no watch afficianado but the Tissot is a very nice watch, very slim and sleek with a clear display and Im very happt with how it looks on my wrist. Well packaged with nice box, Tissot catalogue and book of Tissot history included. For the price this is an excellent watch.

Wonderful classic watch for those who prefer slim understated look. Plain steel case and white face with roman numerals make ideal for formal or informal wear. Only minor problem, my son has very slim wrists and had to take to jewellers to have another hole properly cut in strap.

Swiss watches come with a prestige, heritage and quality that is instantly recognisable - these qualities combined are the reason why they are so desirable. So to come across a brand like Tissot, ticking all of the aforementioned boxes at an accessible price by accessible I mean not at the cost of a small car, i.e. GBP 2-5k is refreshing.

I was looking for a simple, white faced, stainless steel case - not Gold plated - watch that was discreet yet classy enough to wear in both formal and informal settings. This watch is exactly that, an old school charm with a functional look by way of function it has very little other than a sweeping second hand and date feature.
The current trend in watches for men point towards very large and wide watch cases. All fine and well if youre a tall bulky man, not a good look for the small guys out there like me. Browsing all the usual shops and websites I came across very few watches that fit my criteria of being a small size this watch is 3.5cms in width with a stainless steel case that was not Gold in colour. When a watch did meet my criteria it was either too expensive Omega De Ville Prestige, moving on very swiftly or upon further research was not of a sufficient quality heres to you Braun, for outsourcing manufacture of your watches to ..... Zeon!.

What led me to this watch was coming across its Gold plated equivalent, which is in stock at most department stores and good websites. I thought to myself immediately if only I could find the same watch, minus the Gold plating ... Tissot website here I come! and voila, there it was. I had to have it thereafter - bearing in mind that both Gold plate and stainless steel versions have the same Roman numerals, vivid white dial and date window. The leather strap looked very patent from website images but in reality is not at all ostentatious and has a nice thickness to it which lends itself to long wearing quality. The case is thin but has a nice weight to it - I can imagine some people wearing a watch and not wanting the weight of it on their wrist, not me - I like to know that a watch in on my wrist take a plastic Swatch for example - perfectly good watch, I have one in black, I forget its there when Im wearing it ?!. The buckle has a flat recess where you will see Tissot printed in black. At this point I come across the only negative point for this watch - instead of printing Tissot in that flat recess, it would have been infinitely classier to have engraved it into the metal. In itself not a problem at all as it is detail only for the wearer and does not affect performance of the watch or the buckle mechanism.

The only real problem with this watch? Its hard to find, very few websites have it in stock and the major department stores only stock the Gold equivalent. So here I am feeling very smug about my purchase :D

I thought thatI would be able to my last watch with a cheapo. However when it arrived I was not happy. I viewed many watches on line but this one seemed to be the closest to what I was seeking. The only real doubt I had was to take this one or the same watch in gold casing. Many watches look similar but are much more bulky. This one is very refined but really clear, and, of course, keeps perfect time. I am very satisfied all round. Highly recomended.

Very satisfied | Sat 24th September 2011 |

Pleased with the watch. Slim and looks good. Minor gripe would be that the second hand is quite prominent so that, at a quick glance, I can sometimes mistake it for the minute hand.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend's birthday, and he was absolutely delighted. It's a classic men's watch- black leather strap, simple watch face with silver detailing. It's not chunky, doesn't have any bling or useless gadgets which is what makes it so good and not 'in your face'. It's good quality and timeless so definitely value for money. I'd also recommend it for other women for the same reasons- I'm considering buying one for myself now!

I was a bit nervous about the 'mock croc' leather strap, but it's a large scale pattern and so adds a nice detail whilst being very subtle. When I pulled the watch out the box, the wrist strap did look quite small- but it fit my partner fine and it's perfectly sized for the average male wrist.
