Ok, its a watch! But what else do you buy from a watch shop. I dive and have had the previous version for 10 years, having every 2 years or so send my watch back to citizen for a battery and replace for £50-70, depending on what is/was wrong with it. Now I dont have to send this new watch back as its battery never runs out, all it needs is sunlight. Can tell the time in lots of different countries, like most watches, you set the time digitally and then the analog corrects itself to the correct time. 20 dive log logbook. The usual dive alarms, ascend too quick, max depth, time etc... No stop watch, but I never used one anyway. Unique to look at. I have really skinny wrists and it holds its position on my wrist really well, other watches seem to spin on my wrists. One of my better purchases!

The watch comes in a minuture scuba cylinder and you remove the boot at the bottom to reveal the watch, its a nice touch! and far more interesting than just a case. The watch itself is easy to use and set up is quick and the instruction booklet, albeit small, is generally OK to follow. I like the hands on ther watch they are very large and clear, important when you are under water, the strap is a nice rubberised material which feels comfortable on your wrist. The watch looks very impressive on your wrist and the strap easily fits over a 3-5mm wetsuit. I havent dived past 30m with it yet but on a dive to 20m it performed excellently, although the LCD screen is difficult to read unless you fully stop and hold the watch up to your mask, first impressions I would rate this watch very highly both as a diving watch and one that you can wear in civvies!

This watch is the business. I needed a watch for swimming and was planning to take diving lessons, so what better than this. I havent started the diving yet but have been swimming several times and the watch has been superb. will buy this make again. the watch is comfortable and easy to use ince you have read the instructions that come with it. no more expensive battery changes.

An excellent timepiece, I have not had the opportunity to test this out in anger for its design purpose, that of an additional dive monitor to back up my computer, but hope to soon. It is certainly an eye catching device, soliciting many comments from friends and colleagues.

This is a review of the citizen promaster aqualand ECO-DRIVE diving watch, and i am absolutely pleased with the purchase, as i originally owned an aqualand before, and used it extensively on my dives, but i felt that as my old watch had given up the ghost after nearly ten years of use, i felt it only right to purchase the same brand, but with the 20th aniversary edition now being available it simply had to be this model.
It is feature packed, and yet reasonably easy to get used to, with the added benifit of it being solar powered, and never needing any battery changes throughout its life.It has multi time zone operation, as there is a database of countries built into the watch, so any diving holiday destinations should be covered with this.
It will power itself from fully charged for up to 6 months if left in total darkness with the special power cell built into it.There is good luminosity in the dark also allowing easy reading of the display, with backlight illumination of the dive data screen at the touch of a button. The case is very well made in quality stainless steel is there is also a good rugged rubber strap, where experience of the citizen quality shows it is designed to take the knocks of diving, and i can vouch for this from the previous model i owned.
all in all it does what it says on the tin, and i would recommend it to anyone.
