An excellent product received promptly at the time specified.
Much lighter than I expected from a stainless steel watch but it does have a lot of plastic in its body.
Looks very smart & I love the blue dial.

This is my third wave ceptor watch. The first is still working after 4 years but the battery is near the end - the display dims if you try the back-light (which no longer works). The second is new and costs twice as much, but it's predominantly analogue with only a 2-digit 'date' window. Nice to look at but too irritating and long-winded to adjust the alarm time from 8 to 7AM as I do frequently. This involves waiting for the hands to spin through 23 hours.

So this watch is as close to the original as I could find - and I'm happy again. Changing the alarm time now takes about 4 seconds.

I love the fact that it's always exactly right and never needs setting or adjusting.

The display is large and clear, although the 5 and 7 positions are not well marked. If I had to nit-pick, occasionally whilst using the stop-watch or alarm functions, the digital display is partly obscured by the hands. In general, this is rarely a problem.

Excellent features for the price paid!

Already being an owner of a "Wave Ceptor" watch, I knew that these usually represent a good buy &, as this was to be a birthday present for a relative, was sure that he would be pleased to receive it as a gift.

Radio-controlled watches (& clocks) are highly recommended, as they never require adjusting for BST/GMT, leap years & maintain incredible accuracy each day. This can be an added bonus in the case of elderly or infirm persons, who may struggle with resetting their timepieces whenever necessary.

The Casio is packed with useful features, too numerous to mention here & has a sylish blue face, which, in my opinion, looks better than just plain black. The stainless steel wristband is substantial & easily reduced in diameter by removal of one or more links. The only slight criticisms I have are:

1. That the description of the watch body implies that it is made of stainless steel, whereas in fact, only the front bezel & backplate are actually metal, the remainder is a black resin. However, this does not detract from the appearance or should give rise to premature wear.

2. As highlighted by other Casio purchasers, the (otherwise comprehensive) manual fails to give any indication of how to shorten the wristband, so those "not in the know" will probably end up paying a jeweller's to do this task. However, it is just a matter of carefully pushing out the pivot pins as required to release the links (proprietory removal tools are available & would most likely work out cheaper to buy, as opposed to paying a shop to do the job, plus they can be re-used in the future!).

Anybody looking to buy a radio-controlled watch in this price range should certainly give due consideration to acquiring this particular model.

This watch has most things that I wanted in a watch: radio-controlled, analogue hands, showed day & date, but could show time & seconds if necessary (but a pity the date is US-style), easy to change the hour when crossing the channel. I rarely use the other functions and most watches seem to have these. But Casio do a sports watch that beats a time (for exercising) and I wish the Wave Ceptor had that.

I like the blued steel reflection on the face, and the metal strap (which the WatchShop shortened for me just right!). I've never had a metal strap before and was afraid it might catch the hairs on my wrist, but in fact it's perfectly comfortable.

When I first had it, the analogue hand was a second or so behind the digital time, and seemed to be losing. I have now advanced it to be the same as the digital time (easy to do providing you follow the instructions properly!), so we'll see.

SUPER Fast Delivery, well packaged. Manual is a little confusing! Cannot find anywhere in the manual how to adjust the strap (I don't have arms like King Kong). Can't fault Watch Shop for that, as it's Casio's responsibility. So far am happy with the watch.
