It's important that your watch fits your wrist comfortably and looks great at the same time. Leather strap watches tend to fit without a problem for most wearers with a standard wrist size. However, watches fitted with metal bracelets often need adjusting to get the perfect fit. This is generally a very simple service which we are happy to offer both prior to placing the order or as an after sales service free of charge, if the watch does not correctly fit. If you have the watch adjusted by a third party whether by yourself or by a jewellers however, all third party adjustments will void the returns policy.*.
Specify your wrist measurement and we will adjust it before being sent
Please note the links removal will be done right before the product is being sent to you. However if you require any extra links we will have to order them from the suppliers and it usually takes around 2-6 weeks. We will keep you updated on any delays or any applicable charges in this process.
When purchasing a watch which has a metal bracelet with adjustable links, we will gladly adjust the watch bracelet to fit your wrist before sending the watch to you - free of charge*.
Simply type your wrist measurement (in inches or centimetres) into the Notes section of the checkout and we will ensure the watch bracelet is adjusted accordingly before being sent. We will also include all the surplus links with the watch.
You can measure your wrist with a piece of string which you can measure against a ruler. You should allow about half a centimetre (1/4 inch) of slack to prevent it being too tight on arrival.
In the event of you needing an extra long wrist measurement which requires an extension to the original watch, we must obtain extra links from the manufacturer, and in this event we will contact you to inform you of any possible delays or applicable charges.
Watches with bracelets adjusted by Watch Shop are still eligible under our returns policy.
Terms and conditions
In the event that you personalise your watch (e.g., by having the rubber, leather or silicone strap changed or shorted), your purchase will not be eligible under our returns policy.
It is not always possible to adjust a watch bracelet to the perfect fit that you require. We are happy to have it back and can adjust in for you This is a free and additional service, therefore we cannot provide any compensation for consequential losses for a) failure to adjust the bracelet, or b) inaccuracies in the adjustment.
If you are purchasing a watch with a non-adjustable bracelet (mostly gold watches) then the watch must go to the manufacturer's service department for the adjustment. This is a straight forward process which can take a few weeks to be dealt with.
Various tools exist on the market which allow you to perform a bracelet adjustment yourself. Generally, we do not recommend this procedure. Watches which have been adjusted using improper tools or methods will not be eligible under our returns policy.
*Adjustment service is free, but additional links may incur a charge. If links need to be ordered we will fit them as soon as they arrive at our warehouse. Alternatively we can send the watch to you and the links when they arrive.
