WatchShop’s Own Brands - an Introduction | Watch Guru

Not only do WatchShop stock hundreds of watch brands, making them your number one choice for variety, they have also used their extensive knowledge developed from decades of selling untold timepieces to create their own watch brands.

If you didn’t know they did, then you’re definitely not alone - they’re not watches with the “WatchShop” logo on after all; but rather, tasteful brands in their own right with thought and purpose behind them.

What’s more, they’re all extremely affordable, and the three brands cover the four main watch categories - so you’re covered for every style: dress, aviation, sport and diver. I’ve handled and reviewed hundreds of watches for my watch review site and blog, and these have impressed me somewhat.

Let’s have a closer look at what WatchShop’s own brands offer.

Firstly, let’s start at the brand dedicated to smart dress watches: Locksley London, which also happens to offer WatchShop’s most affordable own brand models. There’s a variety of designs to choose from, such as regular time and date dials, calendars, chronographs, and automatics with open hearts, as well as male and female models. There’s a common theme throughout, with Roman numerals and beautiful guilloche textured dials making these watches stand out at such an affordable price.

The next brand by WatchShop is Slipstream: all of which are quartz-powered chronographs. There are a handful of designs to choose from, which are predominantly aviation and sport themed, but with a cheeky dress watch in between. The aviation models are heavily influenced by one of the greatest aviation watches available: the Breitling Navitimer; the dress model being an homage to the delightful Rolex Daytona. The sports models, with their matching colourful dials and bezels, are more unique and stand out in terms of design originality.

Finally, we move on to Depth Charge: quite possibly one of my greatest discoveries in recent years. When WatchShop initially reached out to me to check it out, I had my doubts - the specs to price ratio is insane - I just didn’t think a watch this good, at this price, was possible. But, they’ve only gone and built one of the best affordable automatic divers watch out there.

Available in some fantastic colour combinations, they boast a solid and dependable Seiko NH35 movement, an impressive 200m water resistance, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel insert, glossy dial with thick applied indices, and a substantial bracelet. It also has its’ own DNA, design and style too, as so often we see dive watches looking very similar (Rolex Submariner homages). Not so here.

These three own-brand watches demonstrate how dedicated WatchShop are to providing the best selection of watches to their customers. I don’t know of another online watch website that have dedicated so much time, effort and money into creating their own brands, that are, actually, great.

If I was to pick one, which one would it be, I hear you ask? Without a doubt, a Depth Charge. Those models are superb, and I’m a sucker for a dive watch. But, if you’re after dress, aviation or sport; don’t worry - WatchShop have you covered.
