As we slowly get back to normality, many of us are looking to increase our levels of fitness as we go into the new year, I know I am! In this video, we’re going to share 4 brilliant fitness watches for 2022.

Polar Grit X Outdoor Multisport Smartwatch

I recently completed the Autumn Wolf Run with this very Polar Grit X, my first pick. It was absolutely awesome - it kept me and my fellow runners going throughout the mud, water and running and never missed a beat. As you can see, it’s still showing the scars of being worn whilst crawling through muddy trenches and climbing over all sorts of obstacles. The reason I picked this watch is because of the rugged steel case construction, hard-wearing grippy silicon strap, and light weight of 64g. Being Polar, it boasts the usual fitness watch features: gps, compass, altimeter, class leading heart rate sensor, 100m water resistance, and so many more metrics and recovery insights from the app I couldn’t possibly go through them all.

Casio G-Shock GBD-H1000-1ER Smartwatch

Next is a beast of a watch; this Casio G-Shock GBD-H1000. G-Shocks are some of the most indestructible watches going, so it’s a perfect fitness watch for those with very active lifestyles who need that extra toughness. It measures cardiorespiratory ability which is useful for endurance training, and if you use the watch in standard time mode - which still includes step measurement and notifications - it can be powered by solar charging alone. Everything about it is over engineered, it’s a delight to look at and touch at every angle.

Skagen Connected Falster Bluetooth Smartwatch

Our next pick is this Skagen Connected Falster 3. Super minimal and the best pick for the more style conscious, it has two configurable pushers and a rotating home button, mimicking a traditional watch. A perfect size at 42mm in diameter, and an interchangeable 22mm wide strap, it’s perfect for sports and activities, but also for day-to-day use.

Garmin Venu 2 Smartwatch

No list of fitness watches is complete without a watch from our final brands. My final pick is the Garmin Venu 2. Garmin are classed as one of the leaders in fitness watches, so you’re guaranteed a brilliant watch, with world-class, accurate tracking and a tremendous amount of data. It has a whopping 11 day battery life, and you can even save and play music from it to wireless headphones without a phone. Coupled with the built in GPS, it means you can go for a run, accurately track your activity, whilst listening to your favourite tunes, without a bulky phone strapped to you weighing you down. Their extensive health monitoring features Health Snapshot™ feature, Body Battery™ energy levels, sleep score, fitness age, stress tracking, and over 25 different sports, as well as preloaded workouts to help get you as fit as possible.

Whats's your choice?

So there are my top 5 fitness watches for 2022! Which one would I pick? Purely from a fitness standpoint, it’s got to be the Garmin Venu 2.. It offers the most features and best health data. However, the inner watch geek is also loving the substantial Casio G-Shock GBD-H1000. What do you think? …
