US museum 'honoured' by arrival of James Bond watch
|
An exhibition of James Bond watches at the National Watch Clock Museum in the US has excited the venue's director Noel Poirer
It will be an "honour" to exhibit a range of James Bond watches in a special event next year, according to the director of the National Watch & Clock Museum in the US.
Noel Poirer told commanderbond.net that he is particularly excited about having one of the timepieces on display.
Dubbed by many as the original James Bond watch, Ian Fleming's own Rolex Explorer watch will be displayed among the other items.
It will be the first time the writer's wristwatch has been seen in the US.
Mr Poirer said: "We are thankful to the Fleming family for allowing this one of a kind object to be a part of the Bond watch exhibit."
The museum, which is run by the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors in the US, is not set to host the display until summer next year.
Currently, the museum is hosting a Time and Exploration exhibition, which is set to run until the end of 2009.

Exciting news, indeed! In addition to the information youve kindly shared here, please additionally note that licensed products will be an important part of this exhibition. Regarding time pieces, Fossil and Swatch have been great supporters of the James Bond film franchise - and will surely be recognized as part of this very special National Watch and Clock Museum exhibit.
