New line of Seiko watches to be launched

Seiko has announced it is to release a new line of luxury watches across India following the success of the company in the country

A new line of limited edition watches are to be released by Seiko in India following the success the company has seen in recent times.

The manufacturer has announced it will be releasing the Ananta range, with Seiko watch India president Susumu Kawanishi explaining the designs have been inspired by the craftsmanship of Japanese Katana swords.

Created of curved metal, they are designed to be drawn from the scabbard and used in a single motion.

"With the launch of Ananta, we want to reinforce our commitment of providing cutting edge technology watches," Mr Kawanishi added.

In addition to releasing the new watches, the company also has further plans to expand around the country, opening an additional Seiko boutique to join the 250 stores that it already operates.

Choosing a design such as those from Seiko was recently advocated by Francis J, editor of watchprojects.com, as she suggested its electronic timepieces are good for people who want a reliable device.
