The Rally of Scotland, which was sponsored by TW Steel watches, proved to be a major success, according to organisers and the company
TW Steel's recent sponsorship of the Rally of Scotland has proved to be a huge success, according to the organisation.
Covering the final round of the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge, attendees were able to witness a great battle between two of Britain's top rally drivers - Kris Meeke and Guy Wilks - as they duelled it out on the soaking forest stages between Perth and Stirling, north of the border.
Kris Meeke came out on top, while Guy Wilks stormed to second and Alistair McRae finished a very respectable third in his home country.
After the event, Stewart Bain, the chief commercial officer of TW Steel watches, said the gathering was a major opportunity for the company to engage with plenty of the organisation's Scottish-based retail partners and establish or improve ties and relationships with the brand.
He continued: "We've also enjoyed the likes of Kris Meeke and Guy Wilks sporting TW Steel here in Scotland which is fantastic given the media attention surrounding their 'Battle of Britain' status."
The company announced its deal with the race on October 13th, adding that it would be presenting its oversized timepieces as prizes to the top drivers.
