An Easter egg hunt is being held |
Jewellery designer Robinson Pelham has been one of the companies that has decorated an egg to be used as part of an Easter egg hunt around London
An egg designed by British jewellery company Robinson Pelham will be put on show as part of a huge egg hunt taking place in London.
The event will see eggs decorated by a number of designers placed around the city as part of a challenge to find them all, which will span the length of Lent.
Vanessa Chilton from the jewellery company explained that the egg has been designed to look like an Emperor penguin as it shelters its egg from the freezing winds.
"The crystalline snow on his back, made up of Swarovski crystals is an echo of the constellations reflected above him in the permanently black winter sky," Ms Chilton explained.
A total of 200 eggs will be on display around the capital, with the Robinson Pelham design one of 30 that has been chosen to be recreated in miniature form to go on sale at Selfridges.
Taking place between February 21st and April 8th, the Faberge Big Egg Hunt also features designs from the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Giles Deacon.
