Jeff Gordon claimed another Tissot |
Jeff Gordon is closer to winning his team $100,000 after the squad picked up yet another Pit Road Precision Award in Charlotte
It's a good job Jeff Gordon's got two wrists and plenty of room on each one; after all, he's just claimed himself yet another Tissot watch for his team's efforts in the pit lane.
That's because the Nascar star and his crew spent the lowest amount of time making adjustments and changes to their car as the team claimed yet another Pit Road Precision Award when racing in the October 17th Sprint Cup Banking 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte.
Gordon earned himself $5,000 (£3,060) and a complimentary Tissot watch after his No 24 car registered a time of 271.888 seconds, finishing on the lead lap in 4th position.
The driver jumped by two spots to 3rd in the 2009 Sprint Cup standings after the race and could be in line for a $100,000 (£61,436) bonus if he catches Greg Biffle, who has registered six wins... and six Tissot watches.
It was only the week before when Gordon claimed the same gong at Fontana's Auto Club Speedway in California.
