Women created company to sell watches |
Two friends have spoken about how they managed to turn their interest in other people's watches into a successful company of their own
A pair of friends have described how they set up their own watch company based on their love of timepieces.
Busola Akomolede and Bola Anibaba had long admired the watches of people they saw in the street and would often approach them to ask for a close look if they saw one they particularly liked, Bella Naija reported.
The pair decided to take this one step further by setting up the Dat-AC watch company, which now produces both men's and women's timepieces that are crafted in Switzerland.
"I've always been obsessed with wristwatches, it's something I wanted to start ages ago," Ms Anibaba explained, adding the pair finally decided to set up the business last year, as well as carrying on with their day jobs.
Watches are currently proving to be very popular, with Swiss company Vacheron Constantin recently announcing it has already sold out on all the timepieces it is set to make over the coming 12 months.
