Epson showcases super-thin GPS watch |
Epson's new ultra-thin GPS watch is aimed squarely at adventurers
Watchmaker Epson has showcased what is believed to be the world's thinnest GPS watch.
The sport-friendly timepiece has built-in GPS capabilities and could be great for budding explorers.
It is light and compact and can run for up to 12 hours with GPS tracking enabled before it needs charging again.
Epson's watch does away with the need for adventurers to navigate by the sun using their old analogue timepiece and looks mighty cool as well.
The accessory also boasts water resistance up to 50 metres and a set of innovative features including distance tracking, pace and speed calculators.
Traditional timepieces that boast a simple elegant design tend to remain popular indefinitely, but there is a growing trend for watches with interesting features - like Epson's GPS device.
Tokyo Flash watches, for instance, are extremely popular. They use unusual graphical displays to showcase the time and the company has even called on its customers to come up with new ways of displaying the hours and minutes.
