David Coulthard has a watch |
David Coulthard has released his own model watch that he designed in collaboration with manufacturer TW Steel at an event in the Philippines
David Coulthard has become the latest sportsman to have a watch crafted for him with the announcement that TW Steel has made a timepiece in his honour.
The former Formula 1 race car driver has unveiled the timepiece at an event in the Philippines and he explained that he had some involvement with the design.
Speaking to the Philippines Daily Enquirer newspaper, he explained that he offered his opinion on choosing colours and other aspects of the aesthetics, but did not have any more detailed input as he stated "I'm not an engineer".
"I've always been aware of the brand. I'm not all surprised at how the company has grown in such a short time," he added.
Getting to grips with designing a watch was recently something which popstar Kesha enjoyed, as she explained she enjoyed the challenge of fitting detailed design into the small surface area of her signature Casio range.
