G-Shock is releasing new watch |
Casio G-Shock has released a new model Bluetooth watch which can sync up with smartphones, although it is only to be launched in Japan so far
Casio G-Shock has announced it is to release a new watch model that can be used to sync up with smartphones.
The Casio G-Shock GB-9600 has been designed to sync up with Bluetooth 4.0, with the device producing an alert whenever the user receives a call, new message or an email.
Casio has produced a video to accompany the watch, demonstrating how it works. While only one model phone is used in the clip, it is likely that owners will be able to use it with a variety of different handsets.
While the timepiece is only being released in Japan so far, with a price tag of 18,000 to 19,000 yen (£148 to £156), it is hoped it will be launched internationally soon.
Recently, Casio watches received praise for their ability to combine great functions and hi-tech developments within an attractive design, with many also boasting functions like water resistance to a depth of several hundred metres.
