RB singer and Grammy award winner Alicia Keys has announced the launch of her new jewellery line, with famous engravings on each piece
As part of an effort to diversify her talent, Alicia Keys has launched her own line of jewellery this week in Manhattan, New York.
The R&B singer, who hit the heights of fame in 2001 with her debut album Songs in A Minor, has launched a number of different necklaces which feature several famous phrases from a variety of sources, teaming up with Gisele Theriault to create them.
Alongside the precious gemstones and metals featured are quotes from inspirational writers including William Shakespeare and Buddha, with the collection being dubbed "the Barber's Daughter".
She said of the collection: "I fell in love with the individuality of the pieces but more than that, the words that were written on them really resonated with the songwriter in me."
The collection will range in price from around £60 to £1,800.
Alongside her music career, Alicia Keys has also made steps into the film world, acting in a debut role in assassin thriller Smokin' Aces two years ago.
