Beautiful watch bought as a christening gift for my nephew. The quality is so high that I am sure he will enjoy it for many years to come. The views of the inner workings are superb and I was impressed with the presentation box too!

I bought this watch for my boyfriend, he loves it, i almost wish id kept it for myself as it is beautiful. seeing the mechanism working inside is amazing and the detail is stunning. absolute 10/10

Lovely pocket watch. Good weight and arrived quickly. Although many sites say this cannot be engraved, the lovely men at timpsons (reluctantly) engraved it front and back for me as a gift for my fiancé and this finishes it perfectly. Very good quality item and comes with 2 year guarantee and chain

This watch is a gift for my husband on our wedding day. Hes always wanted one and will look really smart in his kilt.
I agree with one of the other reviews as the watch front doesnt open as fully as you would think, however i dont think that this detracts from the viewing of the timepiece. The watch is fantastic as you can see the workings from the front and you have to double pop the button to open the back and you can see more workings of the watch.
The watch also comes with the chain, as was a little unsure by some reviews whether this was included, so a very happy bride to be!! Hopefully a very happy groom to be also!! Thanks Watch Shop!!

The product is lovely, really nice quality and I love how you can open both the front and back lids and see the mechanics through the closed lids. The designs is clean and simple giving a classic product with a modern twist.

It is a very nice and well presented wacth, the double half hunter opening looks fantastic closed or open. The dial is nice and easy to read. I think it is a beautiful piece and well worth the money!

I thought this pocket watch was lovely. I have bought it for my husband to be as a wedding gift. The watch has a fairly simple design on the front which is perfect for him as he doesn't like too much fuss.Being able to view the mechinism is great as you can see exactly what's going on inside. The only small down side is that the front case doesn't open very wide so it slightly restricts the view of the face.

The half hunter pocket watch was a gift for my patner, at Christmastime. It arrvied next day delivery, and is a stylish and modern watch. My partner has longed for one for simply ages and I now hope he will have many years enjoyment from it!

This product is of amazing quality considering its modest price! The product in general is a beautiful time piece, its very neat & has a great mechanism. I am actually considering getting it engraved (as it is a present for Christmas). Although its a real shame that it didn't come with a chain! I would highly recommend this product, really great value for money!

This is one beautiful time piece! I'm not an expert on pocket watches but for the price of £85 this is more than a bargain.

The pocket watch itself is perfect, the detail of the back once opened, shows off the amazing mechanics of the watch with an amazing pattern surrounding the glass. The case is simple but elegant, trying not to distract you from the mechanics of the piece.

It comes in a lovely Royal London box, which is great if the watch was a gift meaning you wouldn't need to buy a seperate gift box.

The accuracy of the watch is great, can slow down during the day if you haven't wound it enough in the morning and the ticking isn't too loud when you put it away.

The chain is a great length and while I wish it were easier to open the backside of this watch (only managed to open it once) its still a good watch, my only other negative point on this watch is that the front lid doesn't open as wide as it could.

The gold in the mechanism and the White of the watch face complements the silver of the watch beautifully.

All in all this is a great buy, if you want a pocket watch (and have never bought one before) this is a perfect first watch.

The watch itself is incredibly solid and comes with a chain in a lovely box. What I was pleased with is that the watch itself looks timeless and classic, and more so than you can tell from the photos. The fact that you can view the mechanisms from the front and back is a feature that the friend who it was a gift for, really liked. He is an engineer and was enthralled by the delicacy of the mechanism. If you are looking for a lasting present or timeless watch to accompany more formal wear, I would chose this one.

A Beautiful Watch. The detail on the back face and in the mechanism are exquisite, complemented by the simple outer case design.
Simple to use, with a half click to open the front cover and full click to open the back. Pull out to change the time and twist to wind up.
Quality is amazing - much higher than expected at this price. Great value for money.
Supplied with chain.

Georgios: I have read some of the reviewers comments which say about winding up this Royal London 90029-01 watch. Also in the official condorgrp.com manufacturers site they state this watch as mechanical. Is it quartz (battery) or mechanical (wind up)?

Jen: On descriptions I have seen on this product elsewhere it says that the outer casing has a central circle which is transparent (obviously visible) but also says the external casing has roman numerals on it from which you can tell the time (which I would not be interested in) - could you confirm whether this is true or if apart from the central window are both sides plain before I purchase?
