the product was presented beautifully and looked exactly like i thought i would. the mechanics on the reverse are more amazing to see than was in the photo. i was unsure i had purchased the right gift for my fiance but after seeing it, it was spot on.

Spent a long time researching other watches and suppliers before deciding, but have to say I have not been disappointed in either. This is a great example of the watchmakers skill, and apart from the feel, appearance and quality of the case, being able to view the inner workings from front and back is facinating. Having been involved in light engineering for many years, I am amazed that a product of this quality and complexity can be designed, assembled and sold for this price. (Having said that, I was a bit miffed to see that it now costs £5 less than I paid,) but that said, I still feel I got a great value product, and I am so pleased with the watch, that when funds permit ( typical moaning pensioner!!!) I shall be buying the same watch for my son. One small point, the instructions enclosed with the watch only related to wrist watches, but so what, turning a winder isn't exactly brain surgery!

Its a Rotary so no worries about build quality. The gold of the watch is a bit deeper than shown on the image. Good weight, nice sold feel. Really good view of the mechanism at work.

The product was very well received. Great finish on the product, looks of the best quality at a reasonably low price. Difficult to tell between this plated gold watch to a real gold watch. The same watch on other websites and in stores was at least £30 more expensive, great deal from the watch shop. If this is the type of watch you are interested in I would definately recommend this one as it is a piece of quality on the outside and even better on the inside. No complaints whatsoever regarding the watch.

This is a beautiful hunter pocket watch, beautifully engraved with a window back and front to view the skeleton movement, supplied with a plain chain to compliment the delicate timepiece. I am thrilled to bits with this purchase.

If I could only use one word to describe this pocket watch it would be "quality". The cover was slightly tight to begin with but has since loosened up nicely. If asked for a recommendation I would not hesitate to recommend this watch. What's more, with the Rotary lifetime guarantee (provided you havethe pocket watch serviced every 3 years) you cannot go wrong.

This pocket watched exceeded my expectations, Great value for money. I have displayed in a gold plated arch and it looks fantastic. It keeps excellent time, just a few seconds variation in the first three days. If you like retro watches you will love this one.

I bought this watch as a wedding present for my fiance. When I stumbled across it, I was sold instantly on the lifetime guarantee - for such a special present I wanted it to last. It is truly a stunning watch, everyone who's seen it has been blown away - it is a richer colour than appears in the photo, and the detail around the back face is really magical. It feels nice in the hand, significant but not too weighty to distort the waistcoat pocket.

On the suggestion of another reviewer I've asked the jeweller to engrave the case in a circle, with the date on the front and a quote on the back. He mentioned that hand-engraving into stainless steel can be difficult, and it will be quite expensive, but I am sure it's worth it. He also confirmed that there seem to be jewels in the watch, which I was glad to hear about as I gather this will help its longevity. The jeweller was also very impressed with the price.

I apologised for not buying an antique watch from him (he is really a very nice jeweller) and he said that to be honest, if you want a working watch, he would always recommend buying a new one for which spares would be easily accessed. So all in all I am over the moon about this purchase. Just can't wait to see my fiance's face when I give it to him on the day. Thank you!!

I took a long time researching pocket watches before deciding on this Rotary for my Husband's 50th Birthday. It is just the right size, and comes with the chain (some do not) It looks and feels like the quality item it is and being PVD rather than gold plated will stay looking good. I particularly like the beading detail around the viewing windows, a nice touch! The watch Shop gives you a detailed description and a good picture, especially the close up rotational picture, so this was a big help in choosing the right watch. The staff were very helpful and courteous, I had a problem with my order at first (my fault) I highly recommend both the Rotary MP00713/1 and the Watch Shop

This is a beautiful watch - I am really pleased with it. I wanted to get it engraved, and was a bit concerned that there would be no space for it, but my local jewellers managed to engrave in a circle around the glass on the back panel. Unfortunately, though, it is not possible to read the time particularly easily when the leaves are closed, but this is only a small disadvantage and should not deter any potential purchaser.

see the beautifully manufactured workings
also showing the multi-jewelled movement.
