I’m living in the Netherlands and was looking for a Wenger Swiss Mountain Commando 70724 watch, this watch is on sale in the Netherlands for € 480 and finding it by watchshop for £ 269 (equals ± € 300) seems to me to good to be true. Checking the reviews and credentials for watchshop give me a good feeling, so I decided to go for it. Watch Review The Watch is what I expected and according to the specifications on the Wenger website. Here is some minor point of criticism, Watchshop gives a case size of 38 mm, but the real size is 42 mm (as stated on the Wenger website), but this was no item for me, because I know this already from the specifications on the Wenger website. The watch for itself looks great and robust, just what I was looking for, the yellow details of the black dial gives it just that extra touch that makes it special. I think the fabric strap works great for me, leather straps will not hold by me for more than 12 months, so I was looking for either a fabric or rubber strap, and the looks of the fabric strap give me the final push for this watch. Also the saffier crystal was one point what I was looking for, I’m not to gentle with watches and my previous ones got scratches on the crystal very soon, since saffier is the hardest material after diamond, I think the scratches are over now. I'd spent sometime looking for a quality watch which stood out a little from the more standard looking watches out there. And was initially drawn to the bold colours used in the Wenger Commando range, but a little put off by the rubber straps. Until i found this one, which ticked all the boxes for me.

However, on receiving the watch i was a little concerned by the size of the strap, with quite slim wrists it seemed, at first, that the strap would not easily adjust to fit. I have since sorted that and I am more than happy to have stuck with it.

The watch face itself is clear, simple design as you would expect from a swiss watch. It feels solid, without being overly heavy. And although the strap is a little bulkier than a normal strap it hasn't taken long to get used to.

With only slight reservations over the strap ive found the watch to be well worth the extra money i spent over the more standard commando watches.
