My girlfriend recently bought me a Tissot Le Locle watch for my 30th birthday present and I am immensely pleased with it.

I was initially looking for a watch with a low profile that had an elegant plain dial.

We spent months looking on the internet but failed to really find anything that appealed to me. Heading down the high street was not particularly fruitful as most of the watches I liked were either too wide for my small wrist, had a big chunky profile or had a face crammed with all manner of pointless dials and extras.

It wasn't until I found the Le Locle at Goldsmiths that I knew I had found the watch I wanted. Unfortunately they only stocked a version with a black leather strap. I felt this didnt really do the watch justice and I would not be as happy in the long run.

We spent the weekend before my birthday searching our local jewellers for this particular model but most either did not stock it or only had the leather version.

So to the watch itself, everybody I have shown it to has been impressed with it. People have noticed it while walking past my desk at work and commented on how magnificent it looks. The build quality is excellent and now I always enjoy checking the time!

As for the Watch Shop, one of only a handful of retailers that actually stocked this model, excellent prompt delivery and it was cheaper online.

The Tissot watch is exactly what my son wanted - he is delighted, especially as the certificate is authenticated. I had difficulty finding this particular model in any shop - no stockists in London or Croydon had the item. The big bonus is that the watch is fully automatic.

Sorry, but I have to add that your service was exceptionally good and I was able to track progress from the moment I placed the order!

To update my previous review. The timekeeping accuracy 13 days on is even better. On the static, initial time check it was running a very impressive +3 secs/day. Now I'm actually wearing it and ten days later, it's better than ever at +1.5 secs/day. I can't believe it, it just gets better and better! A truly amazing watch at any price.

You gotta get one! If accuracy in time-keeping is important to you, this is the watch for you. I read the only two reviews which mentioned accuracy, and I was sceptical a watch at this price could be so good. So, I decided to get one 'on approval' so I could conduct a four-position test. I was gob-smacked! Mine kept an average of +3 secs/day. This is chronometer quality time-keeping at a budget price. Truly amazing. This is 'undjusted'. Imagine if you had it regulated? Wow! Also the finish quality is very high. The real bonus is - it's a great looking watch into the bargain. Well done Tissot.. only a couple of minor grumbles. The 5-second markers are hard to distinguish from the others. But my biggest criticism applies to all watches these days- they're too bling-sized. A 36mm case would be better. Anyone with a slender wrist (like me) would find this one a bit 'too' big?

I like the style and elegance of this watch. Can be worn for any occasion and as an everyday watch.

It is a little heavy but you soon get used to that.

The see-through back to the watch is an interesting feature.

I haven't had it long enough to confirm the accuracy, but I would be surprised if the time needs resetting more than once a month. Personally, I am not obsessed with the need for total accuracy. A few seconds is neither here nor there.

I love it.

In general it is a great watch. The quality of the watch itself and the bracelet are very good. Ok you can not compare it with some watches made by Patek Philipe but the relation price vs. quality is really great.



Le Locle will look good with a suit and more relaxed clothing. Maby is not good for an official evening event, but for all other ocasions it's perfect.



The size is accurate - not to big, not to small. It's a bit heavy, but I could have expected that - steel bracelet has its weight.

If your thinking twice don't. Add it to your basket and buy it.



The style is elegant, but can be worn both casually or with a suit. The visible movement from the back is excellent. Yes, you can't see it while being worn, but you know it's there. Though the winning feature for me is the constant sweep second hand. Try getting that with a quartz movement!



Build quality is excellent, though you would expect this.



Bad points? Your kidding right?

If you're not a 'divers' or 'sports' watch fan like me and want something a little more classic/elegant/classy then this is a good buy, it's an excellent watch for the price.



It has a very clear discernable face and a smooth second hand movement. The back of the watch is very attractive, it's a shame you can't see it!



I saw the watch in a town centre jeweller priced at £330 in the window on the same day I bought this so saving £54 from the Watch Shop.

I ordered online for this watch last week and I received it within 5 days !! I didnt expect it would be so quick cause you know I live in Paris.
The watch is very classy high quality I am very proud of wearing it.
you can see the automatic mecanism in the back its really brilliant!!
I received it in a box which is very smart cause you can put it in your library and leave it there : it looks like a book!!
I also received the Tissot story book : the story of a watch company written by Estelle Fallet.
To conclude Im very happy of my purchase and now I know where Ill buy my next watch
