If you're thinking about buying this watch, it's probably because you've been seduced by it's classic good looks, and rest assured it will not disappoint. I was first attracted by the white on black arrangement which brought to mind old aviations instruments, the like of which might be found on an old Spitfire and it is employed here for much the same reason- it's easy to read at a glance. No chintz, no nonsense. The devil is in the detail, and there is a lot of detail going on here; The up-curved edge to the face makes the watch easier to read at an angle, besides looking very cool. The Timex T on the second hand is a nifty touch and the application of the numbers, letters and lining on the face is sharp and accurate, particularly the lining around the edge of the day and date display- superb. Aesthetics aside the watch seems to be extremely well made with a sturdy looking (and feeling) case, and a chunky, real leather strap. The buckle arrangement lays flat against the wrist when fastened, which is thinner and therefore more comfortable. The perpetual calender is witch-craft, but delightful, and the day-of-the-week reminder is invaluable if like me you work shifts and one week tends to run into the next. If I had to nit-pick I would say I wish there was a hole between the fifth and sixth to suit my odd sized wrist, but this is entirely personal. Lastly, the 'Indiglo' feature is excellent. I was expecting the numbers to illuminate from behind as on automotive gauges, but in fact it is the entire face which glows a beautiful mid-blue colour and stays illuminated after one touch for about three seconds. Wonderful. To conclude, this watch is good looking, practical, well made, comfortable, easy to read, incredibly good value, and delivers plenty of 'surprise and delight'. Going on Timex's long standing reputation, it should be reliable too. I would recommend this watch to anyone in a heartbeat. Come to think of it- I can't understand why everyone hasn't already got one.

A lush watch. The face is larger than appears on the photograph, but does not look large when worn. The numbers and date are nice and clear, great for those who need glasses to see smaller fonts.
The leather strap soon softens up and is very comfortable.
A great bargain for a lovely watch (which should cost more if anything!)

I love this watch. It is a simple, elegant design wih a
useful day/date display which automatically adjusts to daylight savings, leap years etc. There's a backlight for dark conditions and it feels sturdy and well made with a lovely, chunky leather strap - it looks more expensive than it's incredibly reasonable price, so you can wear it with a suit or jeans and tee shirt. You can jump in the swimming pool with it on - no problem. It's not an ostentatious watch but it has a presense and I think it's far more sophisticated than a lot of much more expensive watches - I think Timex is a classic, British brand - a bit like Clarks or Marmite!

Looks like someone had the same idea as myself. I wanted a watch to take on hoildays and walking instead of my Omega. Having looked around this Timex is perfect for the job. Great quality for the money and the indiglo light is a real bonus. It looks and feels like a much higher value watch

Very pleased with the watch. I bought it so I did not need to take my more expensive Omega on holiday. It has very clear numerals and perpetual day/date feature saved fiddling about at the end of each month. The back lit face is very useful too in poor light. In essence a very good watch for the price.

The watch was a Xmas present. My partner really liked the large face, black background with white hands, making it very easy to see the time and the blue background light which he can use at night if he wants. The watch is slightly bigger and more robust than I was expecting, not a bad thing, but if you are a smaller person the face could look very large on your wrist. The black leather strap looks quite strong so I am hoping it will last. All in all on first impressions I am very impressed.

I thought this watch looked pretty good for me at first view but was very impressed when it arrived. The overall design and finish belies the reasonable price. One thing to note is that it is probably a little larger than you'd expect which after viewing online but was not a problem for me. Very pleased with my watch!

This watch is great value for money. The day and date feature is the main reason I bought it. I love the look of the white hands and numbers on the black background. The numbers can be seen clearly even with a quick glance and the face light is perfect for checking the time in the dark. Also, this watch is water and shock resistant. The only problem I had is that, within a couple of days of receiving the watch, the first leather band that you put the strap through snapped off. Thankfully there are 2 bands so I can still wear it.

a classic classy any occasion simple design for long wearability with a comfortable leather strap and a perpetual day date feature requiring no adjustment plus a blue backlight I reviewed the lot until a manufacturer comes up with a better design I encourage you to buy this 1 watch, very happy with it, downside if any have to send it to the states after 7 years to have battery installed to suit day date feature but for its good look why bother
