If you are into outdoor activities, especially serious ones, you need to get this stunning piece of kit.
Effortless to set up and calibrate with a mass of data available, if you want to work through all its facilities. Its KEY feature is ESSENTIAL data at a glance and VERY VERY simple to use.
If you are hiking you dont have to stop and spend ages ploughing though acres of set up codes and menues and endless fiddly bits and watch incomprehensible dials spin round, one glance and the lot is there; on your cycle, it is wonderfully visible ( the wide screen is amazingly well designed - whoever thought of its design has GOT to be an extreme outdoor afficionado - at a guess a hiker and cyclist like myself as its sceen suites both purposes wonderfuly) and even with your gloves on, you can switch modes instantly and effortlessly.
Compass is very precise, barometer very accurate ( like the way you can get weather change predictions for the whole day), altimeter amazing ( you can program the altimeter to warn of thining oxygen and get an alarm when you may be going into hypox); thermometer VERY useful ( you dont even have to programme this, it just works! Easy to link to alarm so you get ages of advance warning of hyperT).
for a VERY big watch it also sits extremely comfortably on your wrist
Negatives
The DANG user manual is so comprehensive but you need a magnifying glass to read about all the watches features
AND
although its KEY features ae very easy to use, SOME of its more advanced features take a bit of a while to get the hang of.
BUT the quick set up guide will do for most - press the button and it just goes!
AND
for all its amaxing outdoor activity features:
its a very good watch ( as well as checking out the temp over the mountains you also know the precise time!!)
and lastly
and sorry Guys, as much as I need and use its features
it is just a STUNNINGLY impressive thing to wear on your wrist.
LOVE IT!

The Timex expedition watch is amazing, it is really accurate on the weather. It is an amazing tool on our climbs and walks. Just make sure that your sleeves are not too tight otherwise you won't get it over the watch. Overall, well worth the money, especially if you like walking, mountain climbing.
