I work outside every day in my Vineyard, Orchard and Garden. I wanted a watch that was tough, simple but still looked good. The Mens Timex Expedition Field Watch T49869 meets all these criteria. The scratch resistant mineral glass was the primary reason for buying this watch.The dark brown leather strap is comfortable and it even fits nicely on my very thin wrist. The face is easy to read and the Indiglo backlight system is very good. I have had the watch for two weeks and have only one reservation but it is a big one. Four days ago, I was sitting outside in a cafe ( I live in Slovenia ) on a normal hot sunny day. I looked at my watch and noticed that the second hand had stopped. I removed the watch and discovered that the back had fallen off. I can only assume that it was something to do with heat expansion of the watch case. I d the battery and back and am waiting to see if this happens again. To sum up, if you want a smart tough comfortable watch and live in a cold climate then I would recommend this watch. If you live in a hot climate, ask me again in four months.
