This was a replacement watch for one of precisely the same model which had many years of use before giving up the ghost. So quite happy to buy another. Nice big figures on a clear dial with day and date. Completely waterproof so no need to take it off for showering or swimming.

I cannot live without this watch!! Since retiring 8 years ago I NEED to know the DAY and DATE! This is the 6th Swatch watch I've had over the years and always have the same one. If there's one thing I don't like about it is the last 2 I've had have raised glass over the date and day, whereas my previous ones were sompletely smooth. At only £25 ish it gives me a good clear to see watch, with the day and date, what more can I ask!

The Swatch is exactly as expected in terms of appearance. The one slightly surprising feature is the strap, which has fittings which do not allow the watch to "lie flat" on a surface when removed which gives me the feeling that it was not designed quite correctly. As an engineer, it grates.

Clear, easy to read watch. There's a little lens built into the "glass" that makes the day & date larger so very readable. Clever design has separate access to change the battery so that's easy & doesn't compromise the water-proofing. It does just what I wanted at a good price.

This watch is very smart, with an appealing black and white design. If I was to be critical, I don't think the "magnifying glass" over the day/date feature is really necessary and, for me, it detracts from the overall appearance.

I bought my last Swatch in 1989, it had been my constant WORKING companion until I lost it recently, I'm not sure how many new straps I have had but if only I had d a worn one recently it would still be on my wrist. I miss it, however the ment more than makes up for the loss, it felt right from day one, (I'm subconsciously looking for the old one)! By the way a very slick site and great service.

Beautifully simple, with a well designed face and useful day and date feature this is a great watch, just as expected. The watch feels to be of very good quality including the strap, which is made of a stiffer plastic than I expected including has an interesting hinge design, fitting comfortably around the wrist nonetheless. Overall, very impressed so far, everything one could want from a simple watch at a great price!

With a white face, black numerals and minute marks it is very easy to read, keeps accurate time and, crucially for me, tells me both the day and the time. The sweep second hand is not important to me but may be to others.

I have a number of 'quality' watches, mainly Omega but for every day use I use a Mens Swatch 'Once Again Watch GB743'. I'm now on my second one. The first one which has been subjected to much physical abuse (bricks, mortar etc) is presently have a refurb and will be back in action shortly! The timekeeping on this particular model is fantastic, the design is plain and simple with easy to read numerals. I have nothing but praise for this hard wearing good looking watch.

Excellent product, arrived on time an was exactly as described and shown in the picture. Well packaged. This is a great activity/physical work watch. I bought it to replace a worn out Timex for my husband. Simple, easy to read, and if you forget to take it off when you go for a swim or a shower it doesn't matter, because it's waterproof. Not a flashy watch or a fashion accessory, just a timepiece that works.
Only criticism: the plastic wrist strap is stiff and uncomfortable at first.
This is the 3rd or 4th I've owned.

The first swatch watch, (GB743 classic all plastic with magnified date and time with I think, a black face) I bought 14 years ago for my son’s school trip to India. He immediately cut off the straps and carried it in his pocket. The consequence was that it was always going through the washing machine when he got back. He likes the watch because :
1) It is plastic, works all over India in the heat and the cold Himalayas.
2) He climbed all over, South Africa, France, Turkey, India, Nepal, America and felt safe wearing or carrying it.
3) He has managed to arrive on time and on the correct day for his many flights and boats.
4) However, the face screen does scratch on rock faces and yacht winches but is unaffected by Bentley dealers in Berkeley square, Sotheby’s greeters, and afternoon teas in Mayfair.

The watch works fine, but the strap is useless as it broke after 1 months use. Guess what? the strap is not covered by the guarantee, so I have had to buy a new strap. Appalling that the strap, which is made by SWATCH, is not covered by guarantee when it obviously has such a design flaw.

It takes a while for the date to change after midnight. A bit small and might resemble a watch for children. Looks a bit cheap. The date is set by pulling the crown halfway out and twisting it up or downwards. The time is set by pulling it all way out and twisting upwards. A good buy considering the low price. Might be useful to have as a second watch you don't need to be afraid to lose.

I work in a microbiology lab and have to wash my hands about 20 times a day. I have some very expensive watches that really don't suit getting wet as they irritate the skin. This watch is ideal for me. It has a plain white face with black hindu-arabic numerals. It is ideal for dyslexics like me. It doesn't say that I'm a wannabee action man who could kill you with the touch of a little finger. It is a cool watch. So cool that my twenty year old niece, who is a student, asked if she could have my ten year old black swatch. I only bought a new one because the strap retainer had perished after ten years of getting wet twenty times a day. This watch is great design, and I will buy an identical one in ten years time.

Superb watch, clear easy to read & I love the magnification over the day/date feature. Our watches have to be tough to survive in the Agricultural world - this fits the bill. So I needed a simple, reliable and inexpensive watch to wear for knocking about. This fited the bill so well - and it is sylish and iconic to boot! This watch design was ahead of its time when it was first designed and it still looks so GOOD - ideal for for the iPod generation! In fact its status has to be up there with the iPod. Just because these are inexpensive does not mean Swatches are cheap and nasty - I feel at home wearing this despite owning two Breitlings.

For me this has the original Swatch look - simple, clean, no fuss and understated. It is a bit like a VW Golf. Well made and you could be anyone from a Dustman to a Duke in owning one.

Go for it.

This is the second model GB743 Swatch watch I have bought in 6 months. The first was so practical, tough and easy to replace a battery, that I impulsively gave it to my son at Heathrow minutes before he departed for a 3 month backpacking trip around South America. Its just a cool understated timepiece to have anywhere -in the jungle or the boardroom!
