VERIFIED WATCHSHOP BUYER (PURCHASED: FRI 12TH AUG 2011)
In terms of time keeping, the watch is very accurate. Compared with atomic clock standards, the deviation is less than a second in a week. I personally find it a beautiful watch, my wife finds it too flashy because of the goldplating.
I like very much the fact that it has a power reserve indicator on the battery which is charged by the kinetic energy produced by the wrest movement.
The design is well balanced with the goldplated hour and minute hand and the black seconds hand.
Apart from the power reserve indicator it has a moonphase, a calender dial and a day/24hr dial. The 24 dial is handy when adjusting the watch initially.
To read the calender, you need very good vision or good lenzes on your spectacles.
The leather strap is of high quality and the buckle is nice and easy to handle.
I have several high-end watches, but this one I will carry often.
The value for money is without any doubt exellent. You will find more good looking watches on the market, for which you will pay 10 or 30 times more, but I doubt wether they will be as accurate is this one.

Seiko develops the Premier collection it launched some years ago, exploring a subtle mix of tradition and modernity.
Seiko combined mechanics and electronics. This is an automatic watch except the energy is stored not by a spring but by a battery. The electricity then powers a quartz movement, but with an analog display.
Designed for connoisseurs, this watch includes a long list of complications: day of the week, day, month (but not perpetual), power reserve, moon phase and 24 hours.
The finish is exemplary and full of original features: high readability with gold needles on a white dial, elaborate dial with different patterns, leather strap with folding clasp pushbutton.
In conclusion, Seiko could be really proud of this watch, as well as its owner, ready to compete with much more expensive Swiss models!

VERIFIED WATCHSHOP BUYER (PURCHASED: THU 22ND APR 2010)
I've always been a big fan Seiko Kinetic watches. There's something about generating power through physical movement that I somehow find more intriguing than a static and stationary solar cell. I like how you can hear the rotor turn, and even feel the friction that generates the power. And I like how the power reserve indicator let you know if you've been giving your Seiko Kinetic enough wrist time. It may sound strange, but there's something a little more alive about a Kinetic watch than its solar or battery powered counterparts.
