firstly I would highly recommend this site for a rapid delivery. When I first opened the box, presentation wise it is very good and elegant. I cannot fault the appearance and the lifetime guarantee of this watch and would suit both casual and formal wear. The size wasnt too big so it wasnt flashy, also the materials apart from the strap is very good. One possible fault might be that because the time handles are narrow, its sometimes very hard to read the time. Other than that this watch is a great deal for its price.

A lovely classic watch that I am very very pleased with. I have worn it now for 1 week and not had to wind it once. The fine detail is a really nice touch and it is beautifully crafted. Only one small criticism the black hands are sometimes difficult to see in poor light. I would recommend this watch and give it 4.5 stars (slightly wider hands would have made it 5 stars.

Bought this for my husband for Xmas, he has two other watches, so I stalled on making a purchase, but I'm glad I did. He didn't have a skeleton style watch, and was really pleased with it - the detail to the back is good, and the strap is fine ( it suits the watch). I thought the coloured gems may be too much detail, but they're very subtle on the front face- a lovely watch (may have to borrow it (; ).

beautiful watch!!! it came well presented in a rotary branded git box. i gave it as a gift and my partner absolutely loved it. the skeleton detail is also seen on the back of the watch and just gives it a unique look, so nice i wanted to keep it for myself!!

Good traditional style watch which I hope my boyfriend will like.It has a completely clear face so you can see through and see all the workings. No battery required which seems a good idea as long as it keeps time.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend as a birthday present and it is beautiful! Being able to see the inside of the watch makes it a really unique, and he loved it.

Fabulous watch, it is so cool.
The thing I like most is the fact that it ticks, that it is alive and not lifeless. I often find myself sitting at the office and with the hand close to my ear so I can hear it tick :). The ticking is not loud, so it is not disturbing at all.
Love the fact that I can see the mechanism working and the overall image - color wise - it is ok, not too flashy but just enough to catch the eyes of everyone and that is just what I was looking for.
Good delivery from watchshop, it was sent to the courier in the same day, I not from the UK and the exchange rate was better that if I would have bought from ebay, also the delivery was way cheaper through courier than if I would have bought it from ebay so I saved some money there.
I recommend watchshop for purchases outside of UK, good delivery via courier, I could see at any moment where the package was, the right exchange rate compared to ebay and only a small fee for the delivery via courier and not 2 or three like on ebay.

I love this watch. Quite cheap and absolutely beautiful - the main problem is that I keep wanting to know the time and end up watching the movement instead.

The life of the watch when not been work can be up to 2 days, although I'm finding 1 1/2 more likely at present - but that's from a fully wound watch, so don't wear it for a few hours then ignore it for a couple of days unless you want to be setting the time quite often. I've now got two automatic watches, so use a cheap watch winder to ensure whichever I'm not wearing keeps going as I've heard this is better for the life of the mechanism, not to mention saves setting the time often.

I've noted various comments in disgust about this having a Chinese mechanism rather than a Swiss one, but frankly at this price I don't find that surprising and it's still beautiful and works rather well. I don't really see the problem at this price.

Impressed by the quality of watch. Really like the look. Although, I don't really know how to differentiate between an original and a copied watch, but this watch comes with a lifetime Rotary guarantee, so I'm guessing this is the real deal. Fast, tracked delivery with Royal Mail.

Lovely watch that looks very contemporary. The skeleton features are great and the black and silver compliment each other. The only thing that is slightly awkward is trying to set the time. To do this the pin has to be unscrewed before turning to hands to the correct time and then screwing back up. This is to ensure that the whole mechanism remains waterprooef, but I found it quite difficult to do. Apart from that it is a very nice watch - good value too.

The Vintage Automatic is a beautifully crafted watch that exhibits a wonderful skeleton movement without any of the gaudy embellishments that I noticed on many of the similarly priced skeletons. The case is simple and elegant stainless steel. There are no blemishes on the case or crystal. Over five days it has maintained perfect time to the minute when compared to my cellphone clock. My one disappointment is the "genuine leather" band, which feels a little artificial. However, my intention was always to mount the watch on a wide leather cuff band. Shipping to the US was expeditious and without any difficulties. Overall, I am very pleased with the watch.

Very pleased with this watch. I previously had another Rotary Skeleton Automatic Watch (GS02375-01). My old watch had day and date function, but much prefer this one as its watch face is less cluttered, easier to read plus I reckon it looks more refined/elegant.

I won't beat about the bush, this watch is gorgeous. If you're a fan of skeleton style watches this one is definitely for you. It's one of those watches that you can't keep yourself from looking at, with the elegant movement of the internal cogs and jewelled hammer ducking in and out, entrancing the wearer and passing admirers. It is genuinely a lovely and luxurious looking timepiece, and certainly gives the feeling and impression of being far more expensive than it actually is.



I'm a bit of a tiny things freak, so I've got my macro camera out to have a closer look at the internals. I think you'll agree the detail on the watch is stunning. On my photo you can see the little purple jewels along with what looks like an amber jewel on the hammer. You can make out all the intricate springs and cogs. Beautiful!



Another particularly delightful aspect of the watch is the satisfyingly loud ticking, a very pleasing almost double time pulse.



All told, it's a watch that you can wear to any situation, whether it be work or an occasion which calls for smart dress. I love it, and can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants to inject a bit of vintage style into their life.



Just a quick word on the Watchshop - they price-matched with another online seller, easily beating the price, and gave me the difference on top. Delivery was swift, with next day Special Delivery as promised. What wonderful service!

'A watch worth just over £100 that feels and looks as if it's worth over £1000'... this is how i have been describing my new watch to people when asked (which has been quite often as this watch is a real attention grabber)



APPEARANCE: As other reviewers have said, the pictures do not do this watch justice and only when you own it can you truly appreciate the fine attention to detail, the intricate mechanism and the quality finishing touches. I have not met one person who doesn't like it.



QUALITY AND FIT: Both the watch and strap seem to be of the highest quality and finish. I have owned other watches of this price before and none compare to the sturdiness, build quality an overall feel of this watch. The watch is also exactly the right size for an average mans hand, not huge, dwarfing the wrist, not tiny making your hands look like the BFG's, and it sits perfectly.



DOES IT TELL THE TIME?: Very accurately for a skeleton watch - mine only loses about 2 seconds per week on the clock on my computer.



ANY NIGGLES? I have only one minute point to note here. To begin with the leather strap was stiff and did not really take the shape of my wrist but it naturally loosened after a week or so and now fits like a glove!



CONCLUSION: I can honestly say for the price i do not think you could own a better watch, It looks beautiful, feels unbelievable comfortable and its attention to detail is immeasurable. Even if you decide against this particular model, stick with the Rotary brand.... its top notch!

Watch looks better when you have it on your wrist.

Pictures dosent make justice for it, in real life its looks eaven better!

First i thinked that i need metal wrist for it, but when i got it and see it on real life, i changed my mind. Black and steel looks so cool together.

If you like to see how time flies just watch your watch :)

You eaven hear it tics, so its not totaly silent.

I bought the watch as a present for my boyfriend. I saw it and liked it straight away; in particular the fine detail and intricacy of the skeleton feature. The watch is beautifully crafted and elegantly designed and i was so pleased with it when it arrived. The delivery was not an issue and i couldn't fault the timing either as even though it did not arrive 'next day', it took no longer than 3 days to arrive.



The strap of the watch is better in real life than in the picture, in general i feel this way about the whole watch. The presentation box too, is a very nice touch and makes the watch look and feel far more expensive than it actually was.



I was planning on perhaps having the back engraved, but in truth i felt as though this would ruin the watch and in reality there is little space to do this.



It's a stunning watch and i hope one my boyfriend will look after!!

The Rotary vintage clock surprises you since opening the package.

Very well packaged with free rotary bag. Also including the worldwide lifetime warranty.



Clock seems well constructed. It's absolutely pleasant to look at. The more you look at it, the more you love it. It wins when looking it in person instead pics from internet.

Weight and width of the clock is correct, nothing abnormal.



The only 'bad' part of the clock could be the leather strap, which feels a bit cheapy. Well, but you can expect this looking to the pics or to the 720p youtube video of the watch, so nothing new. But...what do you expect at this price for this astonishing clock, automatic and with lifetime warranty?



In my opinion, in quality/appearance/warranty/price a A+ rating.

I bought this watch as 21st Birthday/Christmas present for a friend so it needed to be something special. This caught my eye when I was looking for something to fit the bill, as I remembered the day before he had mentioned about an interest in watches with a trasparent face, to do partly with the watchmakers anology and well looking at the watch it makes a good argument! I actually hadn`t seen a watch before with the mechanics on view and i`m thinking of getting one for myself as well, dispite hitherto not being someone who would generally wear a watch. It`s really quite brilliant being able to see how it all works and a sure conversation starter. not only that but you can easily tell its a watch of real quality and looks even better than in the picture. sure to go down well

Having worn my recently bought Rotary vintage Automatic watch for about a month now, i feel i could give my impressions about this watch.

First thing out of the box - its even more beautiful than in pictures, very elegant looking. Only downside would be that clock hands 'merge' with all those visible moving parts. In dim light it might be difficult to see what time they're showing.

No winding needed, thats pleasant. The spring at 12-1 o'clock shows how strongly winded it is. Though as i noticed, when you take the watch off, it stops after ~24 hours, even is strongly winded.

The watch i got is quite precise - about 1 minute inacuracy after a week of wearing it.

What else is there to say - its no smartphone, packed with various functions. It just shows time and sits on wrist looking beautiful. Plus no need to wind or change battery.

In the end i really like this watch, happy to have bought it.

I had been looking for this style of vintage/exhibition casing watch for a while now, and decided to order it to see if it was as nice as it is in the photos.



In truth, the photographs don't do it justice. The mechanism is ornate and detailed; dotted with coloured screws and engraving.



I have received scores of compliments on the watch just in the week i've had it.



Comfortable, stylish and a conversation starter...!

This watch is lovely and my partner was thrilled to receive it. The photo on the site really does not do it justice. As you would expect from Rotary, the quality is first class and it looks far more expensive than it actually was.



The large cut out shows as much of the internal workings as possible and the detail is superb. You can see all the springs and cogs in great detail and there are nice little coloured touches. The back also has a great view of the workings which I believe isn't always the case in skeleton watches.



The watch has run to time perfectly since we received it. It's a great size for a man's medium watch. Not as big and chunky as some of the large metal ones, but provides a good presence on the wrist.



Highly recommended.

This is an elegant mid sized watch, with an automatic movement. You get a quality feeling at first sight: well polished, you can stare at the machinery in all its glory thanks to the see-through case, there are also artistic engravings on it. And sincerely, whether this is a chinese movement or not I don't care because it works flawlessly, like a swiss one.

The delivery to Spain just took one week and I could track it at any moment.

Highly recommended.

simon: why does the watch stop when you are not wearing it. I remove the watch at night, and in the morning i have to set it again? It is just about a month old.
Watch Shop Team: You should insure the item is fully wound to make sure it is carrying its maximum charge. We would also suggest that you fully wind the item once a week to insure the best performance.

Watch Shop Team: This is an automatic, so only needs to be initiated once by winding. Providing it is worn every day from this point, it will not stop. If it is not worn daily, it requires re-initiation by winding. It has a power reserve of approx 40 hours.

agrant: I am really interested to purchase this watch but wondered if it can be engraved on the side rim of the watch? If I have it engraved elsewhere would this affect its gurantee?Another question Rotary guarantee is 2 years so would the lifetime gurantee advertised onsite is gurantee is watchshops own gurantee?
Watch Shop Team: Yes, there is a small amount of room for engraving. Engraving does not affect the guarantee. As of Jan 2009, Rotary give a lifetime guarantee with all Rotary watches - not just 2 years anymore. This lifetime guarantee is an official Rotary guarantee.
