Great watch, very easy to read.
Beware if you have large wrists the strap is pretty short and may not be long enough to wear the watch 'loose'.

Dear Sir/Madam, I recently bought my brother a Mondaine Mens Mondaine Giant Size Watch A6603032811SBB and the strap is too short. He doesn't want to return the watch because he is loves the design, and the strap is too short to puncture another hole. I would like to know if it is possible to obtain a larger official strap, or alternative please.
Many Kind regards,
Marty Oliver

This is a no nonsense watch that does it's job well. Great design and certainly noticeable. If you buy one, be aware that it will be BIG. My wife said that it looks like a pocket watch on a strap. It measures 40mm across the face, and the strap, including the watch, is 233mm long. This just fits my wrist with little to spare. It is ideal for people who need to use reading glasses.

I bought the watch two weeks ago for myself. I was looking for something to look good on my hand whether I was wearing a suit or a some casual clothes. This one definately does the job.
Speaking about the design, I admire it's recessed mountings for the strap and some red details including the second hand - those little accents give the watch a modern touch to it's rather simple classical design. The accuracy of the watch has also been flawless so far, well as it should be for a watch with a famous swiss movement.
Actually the name of the watch might be a little bit confusing. Yes, you can't call it small but it still looks elegant, nothing like those sport or diver's watches.
If you have bigger hands you should have in mind that the strap could be too short. This is actually common for all the watches with a leaher straps of almost any brand I've tried.
By the way, the watch came inside nice hard leather case which could easily be reused as a case for your glasses.

The Giant Face Mondaine watch is brilliant and clear. I can tell the time even when I take my glasses off. This is not true of any other watch I've examined.

Beautifully designed and very accurate watch. It is light to wear and it's simple, crisp lines make it very distinctive.
One has to be careful with it as every single scratch on the dial may reflect on the watch itself when hit by sunlight. This said, the dial itself is not very easy to scratch.
The strap is stylish but i can see why Mondaine give it a life cycle of one year; it creases a bit.
Overall, however, this is a beautiful watch and a testament to the durability of modernist design. I chose it because it does not distract from its purpose (time!) with date digits and other smaller dials. In this respect, if you like this kind of design and functional approach, this is very near perfect.

My daughter decided this was the watch she wanted for her birthday just three days ago [ignore the fact its a man's watch!]..I trawled the internet and found one cheaper than the price shown here. They could not guarantee a delivery date. I found this website clicked on their price match link, I had a reply within two hours to confirm said price match, put my order in and 36 hours later I have it in my hand having had emails to confirm both processing and delivery. An truly excellent service, thank you very much - and I know that if she does decide it is too big, I can return it and either get a refund or choose another watch.

Thank you very much for my new Mondaine watch which has arrived very speedily and well packaged - excellent service all round.
This is a really delightful piece and every bit as nice as the photos suggest. it's one of the largest watches in their range and the recessed mountings for the strap (rather than the normal external lugs) combined with the gentle curve of the body and glass give it a wonderfully smooth quality - almost like a pebble. There are a number of very elegant touches which will please those who are really interested in design details - for example the hour marks are slightly raised on the dial face when they could simply be printed on. My one (very minor) gripe is that unlike the large station clocks on which this is modelled the second hand ticks rather than sweeps. This is, however, a very small matter when set against all the other lovely features.
