Amazing watch. Loved it the second I saw it on the website. It looks all the more great on my hand. I get so many compliments for this watch. It is no doubt a 'little sun on my arm. I bought a second watch my hours for rest, travel and sports. Very fnktsionalnye watch, I really liked the stylish design and not the usual yellow color, looks good in the hand is very convenient to travel around the world, there is a world clock, chronograph, calendar, date, month and year, the glass can not be scratch-resistant, leather strap, very can be clearly seen while at night, arrows and numbers are covered neobritom hours. I am very impressed with this watch - it's everything I'm looking for. It's solid, good looking, fairly easy to use (once you have had a play for half an hour) and well worth the money. The dial is a perfect size making the watch a fashion accessory as well as an accurate timepiece. All in all, it arrived as it looked on the website's glossary with no hidden surprises. I would only pull it up on one thing, and yet again I emphasise that it came exactly as I expected, I'd like to see RED hour and minute hands on the dial as well as the seconds hand as they would show up better against the yellow dial but that's me being picky.I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Love the watch, not too big which i was worried about and has a real quality feel about it (I think). Was also wondering if the face was a bit too busy but I think it looks pretty well balanced and is easily readable. Love the orange backlight and the strap. Setting it up initially is time consuming and a pain and the instruction book isn't the easieast to follow. on saying that the casio phone help was really good.

This is my second Casio Wave Cepter watch and I am equally delighted with this one. It has a pleasing yellow and black colour scheme with a nice leather strap, looks nice on the wrist and is a real summery watch. The face is easy to read and the modes a doddle to navigate. Radio controlled timekeeping means great accuracy and on the whole I can't fault it. Thoroughly recommended.

I already have two Casio watches but this new Wave Ceptor WVQ-550LE-9AVER looks great, very colourful easy on the eye with a very easy to read face. I found it hard to set at first, but after a few attempts it got easier. I love the way it sets the time itself especially when you go abroad on holiday. Good alarm, stopwatch and back light. I would have preferred a rubber strap instead of leather but maybe Casio can come up with one for me.

bulky casing,could not obtain radio reception despite a manual receive.I contacted CASIO twice and still couldn't get problem resolved.Ihave two radio-controlled clocks and had no such reception problems.Sorry CASIO beauty only skin deep!

I bought the cassia wave captor watch as a present for my partner he collects watches and this watch has topped them all with the beautiful and steady genuine leather black strap and the lovley bright yellow stitching. It also has a fabulous red button on the side for illuminating the face of the watch which iluminates in orange. This watch looks fantastic on the wrist and I rate this watch as world class.

Purchased this watch a couple of months ago and had it shipped to Canada. Casio does make this watch for North America but unfortunately not in this color combination. I have been looking for a watch with a yellow face for a very long time and have been unable to find one with multiple time zone functionality as well as good looks at a reasonable price. This watch fits the bill even though I can't use the waveceptor technology here in N.A. The time is still very accurate anyway regardless. The watch itself was a little smaller than I had immagined (only 45mm wide). My wrist is probably smaller than average at 6 3/4" but I prefer the bigger watches...Photo attached to gauge the size vs my wrist. I love the polished look of the stainless steel case as well as the black dials with red hands on the yellow face. I have had many compliments wearing this watch so far which is a far cry from my old Citizen Blue Angels Navahawk (which by the way is the same size watch). The luminescent numbers and hands work well at night and the light at the 6 o'clock position iluminates the watch quite well. It is just a little hard to actually see the hands due to their narrowness and color (they do not contrast that well on the yellow background). Overall I am very happy with this watch. It is very unique and gets a lot of comments....

Received my watch last Tuesday, what a beauty, it looks stunning straight out of the box. The striking colour with the two black dials make it really stand out. The time was one hour fast but soon changed after reading the instructions. The main feature I like is the Wave Cepter ability, the watch is also very comfortable to wear, a great buy.

This is my third Casio and my first Casio Waveceptor watch, in my opinion they are ones of the best watches you can buy (value for money), being accurate due to their daily atomic update. This one looks stunning and feels sturdy and well made and the leather strap is very comfortable and well looking too(looks like something out of a racing car).

Like many analogue chronograph watches have a stopwatch (it has a great stopwatch, with a 1/20 second hand, a 1/100 second time in the little digital window), and a normal time keeping, this one has a dual time which you can set and has an alarm and not last it has a perpetual calendar and auto-LED backlight.

I would recommend it to anyone interested in a combination of functionality, design, precision and good workmanship.

Never ever had a "Casio" product in my life,I've always gone for Seiko, Breitling,Omega,Raymond Weil etc, However this watch's good looks caught my eye (AND SOME!)..I thought: "Got nothing too lose" so I ordered it,it came the very next day,and I'm a convert already,the quality and attention to detail is second to none,

I was looking for a watch of distinction, not just good looks, but functions too. I first saw the Casio Wave Ceptor Chronograph Watch WVQ-550LE-9AVER through the Watch Shop's UK internet site.
I was immediately attracted by it's stunning good looks (the yellow watchface with it's clearly visible silver "fittings" and bezel, the two small vertically mounted black dials, the black with yellow-trim wrist band).
Furthermore, after reading the description and specification of the Wave Ceptor I knew that I wanted one. This watch has all that I wanted:
Radio-contolled accuracy (excellent) with automatic & manual reception of the Time Calibration Signal (incl. Home & DST(Daylight Saving Time), Dual Time Zones for when I go travelling, Stopwatch, & Alarm. Like many modern watches it also has a Date function.
In Sept. 2010 my wife bought my Wave Ceptor for my birthday,
October 20th 2010.
I found the instructions easy to follow and soon had the watch up and running.
On the slightly negative side, I am a little puzzled that the watch has been unable to receive the automatic Time Calibration Signal but I AM able to manually receive the Signal (better at night as suggested in the instructions). I live close to mountains north of Béziers (south France) and, when the watch did not receive the automatic Time Calibration Signal, I thought that it was because of the mountains. The next morning at around 06h00 I tried the manual reception and this was successful.
On the more negative side the Alarm is barely audible. I have fairly good hearing I think that if the Alarm operated a two-tone system (high pitched and low pitched) we humans with our differing pitches, would hear the Alarm more efficiently.

Despite the above niggles I am as pleased as punch with this watch, and, it has a very attractive price.

A very nice watch. I already have a couple of radio controlled watches and will only buy this type of watch. I love it when the clocks change, I wake up on the Sunday morning and all my watches and clocks have automatically changed either one hour forwards or one hour backwards.

Unfortunately most other radio controlled watched look rather plain. Other Casio Wave Ceptor watches have plastic parts to the watch which make them look cheap. This watch is very eye catching, and the case is all stainless-steel so it wins on both counts.

I wish, though, there was an option to buy it with the stainless steel strap, as with the other watches in the WVQ-550 range. I'm looking to buy a stainless steel strap as a replacement for the leather strap supplied.

Being such a bright colour it does draw attention to clashes with clothing! 'That watch doesn't go very well with your purple shirt' was a comment I got from a young lad at the school where I teach!

I really like the look of this watch and it keeps exceptionally good time, however I wish I hadn't bought it because it is almost impossible to read the time on it. I obviously didn't find this out until I had taken it out of the box and worn it. I couldn't then return it. Very frustrating! I've never spent more than £20 on a watch, so the first time I pay considerably more, I wish I hadn't, and I use my old $3 watch that I bought in New York most of the time.

I really like thsi watch.
It is very cheap but good design and color fuerther more many functions.

But you will have problem with manual when you set up this watch. the letters are too small and difficult to understand at first instance but you will soon get used to it.

The watch set itself straight out of the box, but went an hour fast overnight, which was corrected after reading the extensive insruction book. My only gripe is that the auto backlight only gives you a split second to read the time, but I can live with that minor issue.

i absolutely love the watch whihc is very striking and has drawn lots of comments and attention. equally i wanted a watch i didn't have to take off whatever i was doing. One big frustration though - when trying to set the alarm i obviously pressed some buttons i shouldn't have and after several aborted attempts and an hour or so i managed to reset the time but i still can't get the date sorted. the instruction manual whist pocket sized requires perfect vision and light or a magnifying glass to read and is overly complicated - maybe i'm just old and stupid, but currently it is affecting my enjoyment of the watch, whihc is a damn shame as it looks the biz.

This is a great high quality watch, I agree with the other reviews it looks better in person. This is an unusual watch being yellow, definately stands out from the crowd, buts it's a nice yellow and I'm told it suits me well. I was in two minds about ordering this watch as I thought the size would look too big on my wrist "7 1/2 inches" but happily it looks good and fits well and I'm always paranoid about these things. The time was spot on out the box, but once the watch had updated it moved an hour fast, but this was easily corrected. Very nice watch and would recommend to others.

I bought this watch to stand up to the rigours of sailing. It not only does this extremely well but is attractive, as well as robust, and has an illuminated dial for those dark and stormy nights. Extremely good value for money with the only quibble being a rather stiff elapsed time bezel.

I got this watch today, and I am very impressed. It has a nice chunky feel to it, and makes a bold and visual statement on your wrist. The photograph on the site doesn't really do justice to the features on the face of this watch - the two black dials stand out, as do the 10, 2 and 8 digits, giving the watch a nice finish. It's a quality product, had exactly the right time straight out of the box, and was delivered in record time. Highly recommended.

I purchased this watch a little while ago from this great site without a single problem accompanied by ultra fast delivery (free), & since then I hate taking it off! I love this watch, admittedly I was not overly convinced about the colour of the strap, I felt the contrast was too much...so I changed it to a yellow one to match the colour of the dial & its great! The time setting takes a while to sort out but it is incredibly accurate!

...It has a nice rich maritime kind of feel, as if you've just stepped of your 200ft yacht in an exclusive marina! ...daft I know, but this has a really nice heavy expensive feel with the reliability of Casio (& don‘t let the name put you off, this is a cracker) with the stand-out-ish colour scheme it feels expensive with the merest hint of eccentricity but very classy without trying too hard…but it makes it’s point exceptionally well ;)

Highly recommend … excellent !!!

Wow! what a watch, my wife thinks I am going through a mid life, crisis.
I bit too late me thinks. I am 60 years old, however I Know what quality looks like and I know what I like.
I have a Rolex, an Omega and a Tag, plus several other watches. I guess you might call it an addiction. However never have I had a watch which is so outstanding both for it's stunning looks and accuracy.
My advice is, if you happen to be lucky enough to find a retailer advertising this model, at any price and in stock. Go for it!!

A very smart watch which looks good on the wrist.The yellow and black finish is very striking.Some of the functions are a bit "over the top"but all in all I think it fits its purpose very well. Would have given it an excellent score but for a couple of minor irritating things; 1.The second hand is red and extremely slim and not easy to see. 2.Under a single point source of light, for example a street lamp, there are so many reflections off the various dials etc that the face is not easy to read.
